During the "Printmaking in the Age of Rembrandt" exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH (on view September 29, 2012- January 6, 2013) visitors were invited to carve prints throughout October. Those plates will then be inked and printed during a "Steamroller Printmaking" event on Sunday, November 4 where we'll use an actual steamroller (yes, we mean the road construction vehicle) to produce multiple large-scale prints. These prints will be displayed in the museum's Community Gallery and Art Center.
There were a dozen of these in black and white -- I think there is only one left.
But this is the only colored one--I was just feeling crazy when a high school student asked to see me print a linocut. I had orange and pink and blue ink on the counter so just rolled it up. I liked it that way but never printed any more.

Spring and Summer with PNCA Continuing Education features a number of Printmaking classes including Etching and the return of Master Printmaker Jim Reid's summer workshop. Printmaking classes are taught by artists working in the medium that they teach and are held in the Gordon Gilkey Print Center with a full range of printing presses and screnprinting equipment.
