Is this the most fantastical castle ever? Probably not. It doesn't seem to have a unicorn. Or a dragon. But it does look like a castle where you could, with just a little effort, have so much fun that you could hurt yourself.
Here in Queens Park; yes the absence of an apostrophe is correct; it's acceptable to have fun and in doing so potentially cause yourself or someone else to break a fingernail. A long time ago in a land far, far away there was a beautiful stone built castle with secret passages and places to fall down, possibly risking litigious helicopter parents taking vengeance on municipal authorities. The fun police struck, declaring it unsafe. But really they just couldn't stand the thought that children might grow up learning to analyse problems, make decisions, learn to manage risk and to develop independence and resilience.
In New Zealand, you can still have fun. If in having fun you break a fingernail, that's allowed too. You won't be able to sue someone, anyone, because you must find someone to blame for your misadventure. But you will be cared for all the while until your fingernail grows back, or not.
Yes Bluey, it's not Christchurch anymore. Invercargill doesn't jiggle as much. It's colder, darker for longer and I lied about the dragons. Well it was a teeny weeny lie if the tuatara just over there near the edge of this self same park really are dragons. I like to think they are.
This choker sits high on the neck, and at it's smallest adjustable length fits a 13 1/2 inch neck. At it's longest, it can accomodate a 16 inch neck.
The choker is composed of two beaded strands connected at 7 points by 6 deep purple faceted amethysts and one light purple/pink faceted tourmaline. The strands are composed of glass, czech glass, amazonite, tourmalines, emerald, and freshwater pearl. An ornate filigree bronze focal dangles a full 3 inches below the center of the choker, with a fringe of glass, amazonite and faceted rainbow moonstone drops forming the bottom of the focal. A matching length of glass, amazonite, and rainbow moonstone dangles from the end of the chain, falling below the clasp when it is connected.
This piece is extremely gemmy, giving it a rich feel of treasure. Any woman would feel expensively dressed with this piece fastened around her neck and completeing that special outfit.
