A panorama of the Nechako and Fraser River confluence near downtown Prince George. There was a 2-month icejam from mid-December to mid-February this past winter. The huge blocks of softening ice gives you an idea of the enormity of the jam. The Nechako comes in from the left and the Fraser runs down from the upper right. Taken Apr 13, 2008.

I wanted to use up some milk that was expiring. This was a tasty way to use it.

Note the dark vested look and the inconspicuous eyering. This species builds a nest atop a horizontal branch that from below looks like a baseball glued to the branch. Taken May 14, 2008.

from a story I did about one of the main architects of the city in the 50s and 60s. This is his house, preserved in the modernist style.

The apple tree is in the throw zone of the snowblower so it will be a while before we see the base of the trunk. Taken Mar 06, 2009.
