Alright, conspiracy theorists... A short while ago, I saw the old Weenie King cart in a junkyard. Now, I notice this operating in the downtown area.

So to my mind, one of two things happened:

...1. The Weenie King wanted to appeal to more an urban market, so replaced "weenies" with the more vaguely-ethnic sounding "Kabobs"; or

2. The Kabob King has actually forced the Weenie King out of his once-unchallenged throne as the monarch of food in downtown Prince George.

Thoughts?

The bill profile suggests a male bird. The female's bill curves more strongly toward the end. Taken May 17, 2009 at Shelley Sewage Lagoons, Prince George, BC.

One of those artsy moments. An adult Bald Eagle was sitting in the field at Veeken's egg farm so I handed the camera to Brien and he snapped off a few shots. I cropped one of them to get rid of everything except the bird and the snow. Taken Mar 9, 2008.

Different pose of the same bird. Least Sandpiper out of focus in the background. Shelley Sewage Lagoons, Aug 2, 2008.
