Built around 1865, the 20 stamp mill ran until 1875. For a while it was the primary mill for the mines of Ione. In the 1890's the machinery was moved to the (still standing) mill at Berlin, where it can be viewed as one of the main exhibits of Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Historical Park.
To the left of the ruined wall, and across Ione Valley is Paradise Peak in the Paradise Range.
A Transport For Wales Class 158 crosses Barmouth Bridge as a storm rolls in, covering the Cader Idris range in dark cloud.
Red, yellow and blue are the primary colors, of course (in the artistic sense as for pigments). Some definitions indicate green is a primary color too, though it sometimes referred to as an additive primary color, or a secondary color. For lights, red, green and blue are considered to be primary colors.

Most cars seem to be grey, black or white these days. So what are the odds to step into a scene like this?

Some colourful fun for the for the Flickr Friday theme "Primary Colors". They caught my eye on the dining table and I found a Photoshop'd image even somewhat interesting. Natural colour in the petals alongside edited stems and leaves for the primary set.
Very early morning pre sunrise New York. A single ICM image edited in photoshop to accentuate light, shade and colour.

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules is an American four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft designed and built by Lockheed (now Lockheed Martin). Capable of using unprepared runways for takeoffs and landings, the C-130 was originally designed as a troop, medevac, and cargo transport aircraft.
The versatile airframe has found uses in other roles, including as a gunship (AC-130), for airborne assault, search and rescue, scientific research support, weather reconnaissance, aerial refueling, maritime patrol, and aerial firefighting. It is now the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. More than 40 variants of the Hercules, including civilian versions marketed as the Lockheed L-100, operate in more than 60 nations.
The C-130 entered service with the U.S. in 1956, followed by Australia and many other nations. During its years of service, the Hercules has participated in numerous military, civilian and humanitarian aid operations. In 2007, the transport became the fifth aircraft to mark 50 years of continuous service with its original primary customer, which for the C-130 is the United States Air Force. The C-130 is the longest continuously produced military aircraft at more than 60 years, with the updated Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules being produced as of 2023.
C-130H Identical to the Echo variant but with more powerful Allison T56-A-15 turboprop engines. Introduced in Jun. 1974 with 308 ordered.
The NS Conrail H-unit leads a colorful blue-red-yellow combo on empty frac sand train 61X. I was originally on the other side of the train in a more open grassy area but had to quickly re-position due to risk of being doubled but it still worked out well enough. Oak Harbor, OH 3/9/2022

My favorite building in Dublin. I'm actually not sure what the building is used for, but it's located right next to Dublin castle. This photo is also one of my favorites because I took a photo in 1999 with a film camera and even made an enlargement to frame. It was fun to visit again and make a digital version.
Tulips.
I've never really drooled too much over bokeh (probably because it took me several decades to work out what people meant by it!). But a couple of years ago I got this 50mm prime lens, and it produces these lovely blurry bits straight inside the camera.
So it was with this. The image was taken in spring last year in my garden where there is a bed that produces these bright red tulips. They are a delight (and a warmth) to the heart.
This is for the Friday Flora group.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I appreciate that and hope you enjoy the image! Happy Flora Friday :)
[Developed entirely in Capture One with no crop. Just a little attention to the colour balance (particularly the blue at the top). A little sharpening and a light vignette completed the light touch processing.]

Has anybody else noticed that since the start of Lockdown the air is clearer and you can see a lot further into the distance?
It feels as if the world is heaving a sigh of relief and is enjoying not being pumped full of greenhouse gases.
HMM- the theme for today, 5/25, is handle and this one is probably the most colorful of the 3-4 macros that i'll put up.
