This is a pretty little moleskine. She's smart, and stylish. She loves libraries and shoe stores.
This notebook is covered on the front and back with marbled paper made by hand in the studio. The colors are turquoise, marigold, apple-green and fuschia.
This marbled pattern is called, "american" and is made by dragging rakes accross the floating paint, bisecting the pattern and then pulling a comb across the paint to create the "nonpareil" pattern. The pattern is completed by pulling a half-inch comb perpendicular across the pattern before printing.
The marbled paper is adhered to the notebook front and back using a dry adhesive to prevent curling or cracking. The adhesive is super-amazing. The journal lies perfectly flat and the adhesive has a very strong, yet flexible hold.
The pocket-sized Moleskine Cahier notebook measures 9 x 14 cm (3.5 x 5.5 inches) and contains 64 pages, with the last 16 sheets detachable. It has a pocket sleeve on inside cover of the back of the book which is perfect for tucking in little items that you might come across and need to save...like receipts or business cards or belly-button lint. The pages of the journal are lined and perfect for poetry or shopping lists or planning world domination (perhaps even world peace). The cover is soft and flexible. The notebook is stitched on the spine and lies flat for writing.
