Playing with two remote flashes in the evening to take low-key portraits gave this pretty angry image as a bonus. Halloween landed in Finland not too long ago (maybe 15 years or so?). I do not know whether witches are part of the traditional American Halloween, but they fit in the Finnish variant very well.
Strobist info: Two bare flashes triggered through a PW MiniTT1 and two PW FlexTT5's. Settings were adjusted with a PW AC3 zone controller. The main flash (Canon 430 EX II) was on the left side of the subject (E-TTL, I think + 1 compensation, spot metering), the other (Canon 270 EX II) in the front (E-TTL with -3 compensation), both roughly at the height or the head. The image became too light, and I made a -1 exposure compensation for the raw image. The photo was converted to bw usign a blue filter, and the Levels were further adjusted. Also dodge and burn brushes have been used for the hair, as on the left it was otherwise too light and on the right side too dark.
Pretty florists window display. I really liked the plain jars with paper doillies wrapped around them. Simple but really effective!
They are such darlings, put on quite a show for me, shall post the movie soon. Love pretty boys.

Oldie, I'm in my Anatomy and Physiology class right now...well we're on a 10 minute break, if I survive this class I'll be surprised!!!

ACRS, Camellia News, 1997, No.143, p.17, colour photo p.2, Reg. No.492. Originated by Dr R.M. Withers, Donvale, Victoria, Australia. A cross of C.reticulata hybrid Suzanne Withers as seed parent, x C.reticulata hybrid Jean Pursel, which first flowered 1994. The pink (RHS.CC.62B) flower opens formal double, then to informal double with 50 petals. Size is 12 cm across x 5.2 cm deep. Flowers mid-season to late on an upright open plant of rapid growth. Leaves olive green, glossy, keeled, elliptical, serrate margins, acuminate apex, 15 cm long x 6.2 cm wide. Petals notched and folded, and a few filaments.
