When a young woman with a ponytai heard my word, "You have a pretty hairstyle," she immediately turns her hard to her right and then looks directly at me with wide, smiling eyes.
This happens just after she made her purchase order to a seller of convenience store at a village in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
Spencer: Hi Tuesday friends! I told my mummy that my friends had found pretty pins, so I asked her if she has any, and she said she does, except they\'re hidden because The Cat might want to play with them and it would be dangerous. She showed me the box, and look, Peter (Marian Kloon (on and off)) and Scout! (raaen99) Do you like these? There\'s a pretty pink one, and a pretty blue one, and one with a funny fluffy black thing, and one that is a pretty yellow flower! I tried them all on, and I really like the fluffy funny black thing, which my mummy says is from a TV show called Barbapapa, which means Daddy\'s beard, which is really funny. My mymmy says that in English it is called cotton candy, which I find really pretty, but that the characters in the TV shows are a family who can change forms and have funny name and the Daddy is called Barbapapa and the fluffy black one is called Barbouille. Anyway, I like that pin and I think I will wear it sometimes, but I prefer the yellow flower because it is a happy colour! Which ones do you prefer, Scout and Peter?
I bought this Pretty Lady rose plant on sale last summer as a stump with a few small branches, and now it's coming into its own. Planted in pure compost at the farm, it's protected from rabbits by plastic and steel mesh.
Get a look at this beauty. Isn't she something? Life should be so easy that one could just sit pretty all day. What a life!

Wow. I just love how this turned out! One of those cases where it worked out just how I planned (how often does that happen?) I used all the green barbells, daisy dots, and posies I had - and I couldn't have found a better use for those scraps! I believe the background fabric is a gray linen (it was an unmarked remnant...so I'm not certain). It's a generous size 10 inches tall and 11 inches wide at the top.
The back is personalized, so it shall remain a mystery ;)

Another avian image from today!!
This Egret remained perched close enough to allow this close-up.
Its white feathers contrast nicely against the brown coat of weed that covered the dam at its back - hope you like this!
