Albeit in flat light, this has become a historic image not just for the train in question but also the location too! Hunslet Barclay top and tail Class 20's No 20902 and 20903 head the Seaforth CT to Wigan Springs Branch 'Weedkiller' train as it passes Prescot Station and Signal Box, as well as the site of the huge BICC works. The sidings for the works is just behind the train which are now Apartment buildings, the line is now electrified and signal box no more too. The shot taken from Warrington Road bridge, Prescot. 26th July 1996.
