The email said "please be prepared to work from home for 6 to 8 weeks. starting tomorrow." I remember thinking, 6 weeks will be fine but if this goes for 8 weeks how is that going to work? It has been six months now.
Introverted by nature, being at home for months on end is fine. Not fine in the "I am screaming on the inside" meaning of the word. Really, I am fine.
Sometimes though, a string from my sweater gets caught on a sharp edge and I am unraveling, unraveling.

I happened to witness a magical night in Copenhagen where the popular touristic Tivoli had organised a Christmas market. All the lights in colourful variations lid up the whole place and filled my heart with so much preparation for Christmas. Of course I bought some pre-Christmas gifts already, because how could I resist?
My choice for the theme #preparation". Wish you all a lovely Sunday,
Owner of the "village patisserie" in Taurus Mountains, prepared some kind of "sweet" - known as "halka tatlı" in Turkey.
Dough is shaped like a ring. It is first deep-fried to golden colour and then put into sugar-sweet syrup when still hot & kept there a few seconds. Ready for service.
By the way, as a bonus, I got my ice-cream on cone free :)
I always tell my daughter to put a little cash in all her purses....so she will always be prepared:)
A capture of my little green buddy trying to line up his next victim. Little Green Heron foraging on Horsepen Bayou.
Am still a bit behind and have another busy day tomorrow. Comments are likely to be short.

Did you know that spending time in the forest ist good for the immune system? It reduces inflammation and increases the number of killer cells.
How awesome is that?!
It's so sad that most of the forests around where I live are not well prepared for climate change. If we don't manage to limit heating of the earth, they will most likely die.
If you care about the environment and climate, consider joining the group "flickr for future": www.flickr.com/groups/flickr-for-future/ :)
I had prepared this photo to celebrate 21 years of flickr but after posting I understood how it worked this year. Anyway I was bold in proposing it
A sled would be useful during the winter in Bodie, CA, as long as one also had a horse or mule to pull it. The California Parks Department has this to say about winter in Bodie:
"Bodie is located at an elevation of 8,375 feet. Winter weather conditions can change rapidly. Day time temperatures can reach into the 60's and by sundown drop below zero. During years with normal snowfall you may find 3'-6' of snow on the flat, and drifts up to 20' high. Temperatures from 0 to 25 below zero are not uncommon on a calm night. Wind chill factors can drop temperatures to 50 to 60 degrees below zero."
Don't think I want to visit Bodie during the winter, sled or no sled!
After a short nap my plan was to hike back to the tracks in time for some night photos before calling it a night. Having slept little in the last 24 hours I must not have been thinking clearly because when I arrived to the tracks I realized I forgot the top of my tripod. Seconds later horns from the west could be heard and since I had no ability to use a tripod I fumbled my settings just in time to capture the impending eastbound stack train, albeit at 1/15th of a second. At this point I was too tired to wait for another train so I'll have to be satisfied with this result until work takes me here once again.
