In December 1900, the Ladies’ Home Journal publishes 28 predictions for the year 2000!
This article was written by civil engineer John Elfreth Watkins, Jr. who claimed to have surveyed “the most learned and conservative minds in America… the wisest and most careful men in our greatest institutions of science and learning.”
The 28 predictions cover various topics including travel, the transmission of information over great distances, and biological and genetic mutations.
Please judge for yourself how close to reality these were 😊.

The Back-Story
I had tried unsuccessfully 3 times to hike the High Divide loop this year. The first time I just got lazy and decided that a weekend at home sounded nice. The second time, my job at the last minute required me to be at home for some on-line training over the weekend. The third time I was due for an overnight hike and thought I would drive out to the campground at Sol Duc on a Saturday, camp and get a really early start the next morning and do the whole loop in a day. As I was packing to leave on Saturday the 19th, I got a phone call and learned that my brother had passed away. Needless to say my plans for the weekend had changed. I won’t get into all the details but I will say that his passing was unexpected and the cause at this point is unknown. Needing time to reflect on his life, needing some time to myself to reflect on the things that are important to me and my family and really needing to finally get this trail on my ‘been there done that’ list, I decided to head out on Saturday the 26th of Sept 2009 to hike it.
The Hike
I got up at 4:45 AM and was out the door by 5:00. Driving from Silverdale, I got to the trailhead at 7:15 AM, beating Google Maps drive time prediction by 15 minutes. I was on the trail at 7:20 and it was already light out but the sun had not yet arrived in the Sol Duc River Valley. Taking my time hiking, not wanting to maintain a breakneck speed, yet not taking much in the way of rest breaks, I figured if I maintained a 2 mph pace throughout the hike I would be done with the hike in about 9 hours or so. I figured I should be done around 4:30 PM giving me plenty of daylight left as this time of the year it gets dark around 7:15 PM. So after hiking for a couple miles, I had Yogi on the brain and I was intermittently calling out “hey bear, Yogi bear” to give warning to any bears that might be in the area, even though I knew they were probably all up in the higher alpine zone eating berries. After calling out to the bears on my third or fourth time, I heard a crashing in the woods to my left. I looked up to see what was moving and it was a big Roosevelt bull elk. He ran up the trail in front of me and paused long enough for me to take his picture but my flash went off and the picture came out black. The elk ran again and I figured he was gone so I put my camera away. No more than 500 yards up the trail, I look up and there he is again, standing in the middle of the trail. I dug my camera out to shoot him but he was on to me and he bolted again. OK, this time I’m not going to put the camera away. I hiked on and he was on the trail again just like last time except now I had my camera out, I just needed to turn it on. Snap, damn flash again! This time he runs up hill. I tried desperately to take his picture but it just wasn’t meant to be I guess. I did get one but it was so blurry you can barely tell there is an Elk in it. Oh well. I hiked on. Before coming here I had asked a few people which was the best direction to go on the loop. Clockwise or CCW? I received advice from both people claiming one way was better than the other. In the end, I listened to my friend Mike’s reasoning that the lighting was better for photos during the time of day I would be hiking if I went CW, but I can see why a lot of people would go the other direction, the views are different. If you go clockwise, you will have a long gradual approach before you gain much elevation. It is mostly a river valley hike in the woods for a good 5 or 6 miles before you get many views. Eventually you do start to climb a little and you will get to Sol Duc Park where there is a campground. I didn’t see anyone at the campground when I arrived, in fact I only saw one couple on the trail up to this point. They were camped at the little campsite at Rocky Creek near the Appleton Pass junction and it looked like they had just woke up. I had already been on the trail for a couple of hours by that point. When you get close to Sol Duc Park, the forest opens up a little and there are some nice meadows filled with blueberries. My sense of smell is not what it used to be, due to allergies and medications to allergies I have taken in the past. Something has to have a pretty strong scent usually before I can smell it, so maybe it was my imagination or maybe it was real, but I could swear I could smell the blueberries. It smelled just like blueberry pie to me, and it was such a strong scent. The blueberries themselves were everywhere. I stopped several times to munch on them, they were fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many blueberries, the bushes were just loaded with them. The bears wouldn’t go hungry this year! So after Sol Duc Park, the trail climbs again for a mile or two and crosses a little stream. The creek is the outlet stream of Heart Lake. I have seen Heart in pictures on-line and in books for many years and was excited to see it in person. When I got close, a couple returning from their overnight hike stopped and I asked them if they had seen any bears. The gentleman said that he saw the biggest bear he had ever seen the night before near the privy and said it must have weighed at least a thousand pounds. I pointed out the bear I could see up on the mountainside that looked like a speck it was so far away. Him and his wife said they saw it earlier but had lost track of it and were happy to see it again. Now I don’t know if black bears get up to a thousand lbs or not, but I will take his word that it was a big bear. I’m not surprised really with the amount of berries they have to eat this year. So I finally reach Heart Lake and I’m not too impressed. Maybe it’s all the people congregating near the outlet stream as I first see it, I don’t know. I didn’t even stop. I just kept on hiking past it. Once I got near the top and looked down, I was much happier and could see the famous heart shape it was named for. I was very close to my first views of Olympus and I was pretty stoked! I hiked on and finally reached the divide. It was magnificent. Olympus was much bigger than I imagined. Of course I had seen Olympus before, just never this close. I was very impressed. I hiked a little further and stopped to take a bunch of pictures and videos. I could see clouds down in the Hoh Valley and I wanted to make sure I got some good shots before any clouds obscured the view. After taking a bunch of photos, I was standing there just mesmerized by the beauty of the whole thing, reflecting on the hike. Thinking about my brother and the life he led. Thinking about my life and what I could do to improve upon it, how I could be a better husband and father. All of a sudden, during my reverie, some of the clouds from the valley started spinning around all crazy like and I took what I consider to be one of the better photos I have ever taken. It certainly is odd to say the least. I won’t go so far as to say I see Jesus in it or that its anything other than a big swirl in the cloud, but look at it and let it speak for itself. I don’t think I could ever come close to taking that picture again, even if I made it my life’s ambition. I think it was a one in a million shot, at least for me. So getting done with the photo shoot, I hike on and start seeing more people on the trail. I get to a point where I can finally see the Seven Lakes Basin and I pass a guy with a day pack coming from the other way. I said to him “nice day for a day hike”. He said it was and that he thought we were at about the half way point. I looked at my GPS and we were indeed about 9 miles into it. The trip was half over. On I hiked with Olympus on the left of me and the Lakes Basin on the right. Expansive views in every direction. These are the reasons for which I hike. Soon I came to a little side trail and there was a guy sitting there picking blueberries. After consulting my map I came to the conclusion that this was the side trail to Bogachiel Peak. I asked the blueberry picker how far it was to the top and he said “only five minutes, definitely worth it”. Two minutes later as I stood at the top, someone’s cell phone rings and he starts a conversation with someone else, laughing about how he can’t believe he has reception up here blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Bogachiel was too crowded for me so I took a couple pictures and left. The berry picker asked how I liked it and I said it was nice but a little crowded. He apologized and said that was his group up there which made me feel like a jerk for saying that. Sometimes I forget that the mountains are for everyone and not just my own pleasure. It’s hard to share sometimes but I don’t go there to be around people and phones and all that nonsense. I go to the mountains to free myself from it. To be able to fart or scratch my butt whenever I want to, or unlike when I’m in my car, to actually be able to pick my nose and not be seen doing so! I won’t go so far as to say that I’m looking forward to hike naked day, but I think you catch my drift. Soon I’m walking over to the junction of the Hoh Trail which rests on a neat little saddle. There are more people congregating here so I pass them and take a few shots of the junction which also marks the beginning of my downhill trek and final leg of the hike. Only 8 miles to the car! So on the way down, the trail skirts below Bogachiel Peak and with the fall colors, the hillside is very beautiful. As I’m hiking down I keep hearing a shrill whistle that I think is a hawk but all I see flying around is a big raven. I keep hiking and the whistle gets louder and louder occurs every time the big raven flies by. I notice movement on the hillside and see a great big old marmot watching me and I realize that it is the marmot whistling not a hawk. So this is why it’s called a whistle pig. I have seen lots of Marmots before, but I never recall hearing one whistle. It is much louder than I thought it would be. It must have been whistling to warn it’s friends of the big raven that was flying around. Down the trail I went, looking over my shoulder the whole way to see what I might have missed by doing the trail clockwise. Soon I was at the Seven Lakes Basin trail. I passed a couple of ladies on their way up and they said hi as we passed. One of the ladies turned and said “oh by the way there is a big bear sitting on the trail about 40 paces down the way”. I say oh really? She says no just kidding. Hardy har har. I actually wanted to see a bear other than one so far away it looked like a little speck, oh well. After a while I let a couple of people pass me as they keep gaining on me every time I stop to take a picture. Before long I am passing them again as they stop to throw rocks in an un-named lake just before Deer Lake. I stop too as I haven’t had lunch yet and I wanted to give them a chance to hike ahead of me so I don’t have to listen to them prattle on about God knows what (did I mention I enjoy my solitude?). It must have been around 2:00 PM or so when I stopped and it was nice to take a break after so many hours without really stopping for more than five minutes at a time. I took a good 20 minute break, ate a sandwich and took some pictures of the little lake. Soon I was hiking again and came to another lake, could this be the Deer Lake I see on the map? More photos of the nice reflections on the lake and I was off again. Not much further and I see a little wooden boardwalk style trail going through a marshy area and I see a sign that says welcome to Deer Lake. Oh good, now only a little over 3 ½ miles to go. Up to this point in my hiking career, the farthest I have ever hiked was a trip I did when I was much younger up to Flapjack Lakes and back which, if memory serves me correctly is about 16 miles round trip. On this hike I felt pretty tired at about mile 12 but once I got to around mile 16 I felt like a second wind had come on. Down the trail I went, deeper into the valley towards the Sol Duc. I eventually came to a bridge crossing the Canyon Creek which the trail follows from Deer Lake. Not much farther now. I finally reached Sol Duc Falls. There were people milling about and I felt kind of sorry for them. Sol Duc Falls is pretty but nothing compared to what I had seen today. Oh yeah, as an afterthought I took a picture of the falls too. Only .7 miles to go! Up ahead I saw someone that looked familiar. It was the day hiker that I passed going the other way at the top of the divide. I called to him and he slowed down to let me catch up so we could chit-chat. I compared notes with him and found out that he started hiking only five minutes earlier than I did. Upon further investigation I discovered that he had been to several of the same hikes that I had done this year. We both hiked Burroughs Mountain at Mount Rainier on the same weekend. We both hiked some of the same hikes in the gorge this spring. We both hiked Umtanum over near Yakima this year. What a small world, and how odd to go in different directions of the loop starting and ending at almost the exact same times. Before I knew it I was back at my car. The time was 4:40 PM so I was pretty close to my estimation of 9 hours hiking time. What a great hike. Maybe I will do it again next year from the other direction.

Wasn't sure where to go with the camera today...my friend at work said it must be hard finding things to take photos of in the same few places, and I said it would be easier soon as the seasons started to change... 'there'll be crocuses soon' I said. And then I went to the park across the road and there they were :-)

This gallery depicts a series of futuristic pictures by the French painter Jean-Marc Côté and other artists issued in 1899, 1900, 1901 and 1910. Originally in the form of paper cards enclosed in cigarette/cigar boxes and, later, as postcards, the images described the world as it was imagined to be like in the then distant year of 2000.
At least 87 were produced, and I have managed to capture 73 of them 😊. While a few were on point (A version of Skype or Facetime), many were wildly off-tangent (underwater croquet, anyone?). And all are definitely worth a look!

It's time for Halloween! While the rest of us get ready with costumes, party and events, Second Life sim builders have created several places for us avies to explore.
We went to a few last week and ran into some incredible builds and artwork. All included haunted houses, pumpkin patches, Halloween shopping and music.
Paradise City sim featured House of Horrors, a mesmerizing psy place with cuddle areas for avies. We snuck a kiss in the purple and red bedroom LOL!
At the Pixel Trix sim, we found Octobervile. Then, the Dark Dharma on Dacia provided halloween themed costumes. I liked this one a lot! Very scarey and very cool navigation through the haunted house. At the haunted house for Dark Dharma, we even did a seance listening to very spooky voice of Vincent Price. Ooooooo.
But the very best was at Le Cimetierie, an old build featuring gothic church. We came back to this one twice, taking pictures at the church with both of us hanging from the cross. (shhh... a couple of Catholics being so silly) Notice Xavier praying below me. LOL!
Also, the first party we hit for Halloween theme was at BassLine Junkiez. DJ Doubledown Tandino was spinning a 70's pimp party. OMG, I never laughed so hard. Everyone sported an afro including me. (I can't believe we all had the same things in our inventory)
Doubledown spun Super Fly and tunes from Jackie Brown. I had 5 inch platforms and a disco dress while Xavier was dressed quite like a gangster. So fun. One avie sported a full on drug dealer costume LOL!
Halloween is fun. Explore the SL sims and enjoy these fantastic displays of goth, horror and surrealism. Ciao!

Thursday 31 October 2013: Nyaung Shwe (ညောင်ရွှေမြို့) / Khaung Daing (ေခါင္တိုင္)
My free day at Nyaung Shwe began with a glimpse of the local monks on their morning rounds before rendezvousing with Anna and Miriam at breakfast in the Hu Pin hotel's almost open air dining area. Our plan for the day was to hire bicycles and to find the hot springs on the west side of Inle Lake.
But first we headed into the town market in search of woven plastic baskets... First seen in Nyaung-U (ညောင်ဦးမြို့) and again at Kalaw (ကလောမြု့), the brightly coloured modern versions of the bamboo shopping baskets had been top of my souvenir list for a while but had proved elusive in Nyaung Shwe other than at tourist shops, where they came with tourist prices to match. We'd almost given up hope of finding them in the market when suddenly we saw a flock of ladies gather around a pair of opening shutter doors... through which bundles of packet baskets started to materialise. We had chanced upon the town's best basket shop - and, after watching a few local ladies and gents make their purchases, three baskets were duly bought.
Next stop, the post office. Small and off the beaten track, we followed instructions from the hotel's receptionist team and arrived just as the post office opened. Josh's prediction that no post card would make it back home was to prove unfounded - which meant my recipients ended up getting two each, with stamps commemorating the upcoming Southeast Asian Games being hosted by Myanmar. Success all round.
Back to the hotel to drop off our baskets and to pick up hot springs kit, and then on to hire bikes from a stall on the far side of the market. Although not in as good condition as the ones we'd hired for our Bagan explorations, our Nyaung Shwe bikes were hardy enough to get us out and about along the lakeside roads which came both surfaced and not.
A smashing day out, albeit not successful in terms of our planned destinations: the hot springs at Khaung Daing (ေခါင္တိုင္) have been turned into a tourist spa, but we had a lovely time cycling through the countryside as far as the Hu Pin Khaung Daing Village Resort where we pottered around manicured gardens and up to the pagoda at the top of a long flight of steps, rewarded with beautiful views out over the lake, a chatty, tubby, monk and more glittering, mirror mosaic decor. It turned out the rest of our group were at the hotel too, lunching on the restaurant verandah along with two other western girls - the only guests we saw in the whole place.
Retracing our steps (tyres) towards Nyaung Shwe, we stopped off at the Innoo Ancient Pagodas and paused at Khaung Daing opposite the hot springs to climb up to the pagoda (and spotted the bubbling public pool at the base of the staircase), where the guardian provided tea and snacks as we rested in the cool interior. Lots of interesting village life en route in both directions - schools, markets, shops, restaurants, and temples of course, and super helpful people every time we stopped for directions.
Cycling straight through Nyaung Shwe, we went in search of the Red Mountain Vineyards from whence we'd hoped to watch the sun set with a glass of red wine... but we failed to find the sign or the road - I wish I'd seen this map before! Instead, after a refreshing, farewell, juice at the lovely Aurora, we headed back across the river to the tree lined avenue we'd cycled along in the morning, and found a sunset spot with a view out over the ponds to an old monastery and the hills behind with a lone fisherman checking his nets closer by. Both our days at Inle Lake brought beautiful late afternoon light.
Back in Nyaung Shwe and having returned our bikes, we stood firm in our resolve to deny ourselves a third dinner at the Aurora - tempting though it was - opting for the night market instead. Home to a handful of food stalls with a welcoming sign-cum-menu listing all the dishes on offer at the entrance, it was hard to choose between the family run stalls so we plumped for the one that offered a Shan style food with an English version of their menu. At 500 kyat a dish we feasted on dishes whose names took our fancy, and topped it all off with a takeaway sweet paratha from the adjacent stand.
A day which brought home to me my good fortune in hooking up with fellow adventurers, Anna and Miriam.

The other day I drove a neighbor - a dear friend - to his appointment for his first cataract surgery. As you are reading this today, I will be driving his wife to her appointment for the very same surgery.
When waiting to meet him later post-surgery - the clinic was located at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science - I happened to spot a group of students huddled around tables in the main building, studying and talking, Presuming to myself that they were in the program, I wondered what types of rapid advances they would see in their field of vision science by the time they are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.
We can only begin to imagine because we are already living in a time in which the science fiction of our yesterday has become our reality.
Cataract surgery itself is remarkably routine; I had it done almost a decade ago as an alternative to LASIK. Essentially, a small incision is made in the eye; the old lens is sucked out, and a new permanent lens is implanted. What happens, though, when that lens replacement itself becomes a hyperconnected, microchip-based intelligent vision system? What happens when we can truly give eyesight to the blind? What happens if we have full bionic eye implants that link to the optical nerve? What happens when we have heads-up-display technology integrated into said bionic eyeball so that we can enhance our vision with HUD stuff, just like we see in a modern-day airliner?
These are the things a futurist thinks about. What seems crazy is becoming routine. And after all, we can read about such advances in the news all the time.
With that in mind, consider the tremendous advances that have occurred in the science and technology of medicine overall. This is a grab bag of a few of those trends that I wrote about just a few years ago. Many are becoming real at a pace that is, I always say, staggering: our science fiction past is already in our future and is rapidly becoming a part of our today.
- technology is taking over medicine. BIo-connectivity devices such as remote blood pressure monitoring devices allow for the virtualization of many health care services ("bedless hospitals") at a much lower cost
- Google and other companies are working on a contact lens that will monitor blood sugar/glucose for diabetes patients. We are going to witness a flood of wearable healthcare monitoring technology.
- we will soon see 'smart medical implants. This will include a contact lens, surgically implanted, that will feature storage, a battery, sensors, and other electronics to aid in vision
- smart pharma with connected pills will one day be here; we will have ingestible pharmaceuticals that will report on how well particular treatments might be working. There's been a lot of work in this area, and many high-profile failures - but it will soon be common.
-
we will soon see a computer chip that will diagnose infectious diseases through continuous bloodstream monitoring
- 3D printing technologies now allow us to provide customized hip replacements and other medical implants, or the printing of prosthetics for amputees
- digital twin technology is already allowing surgeons to prototype forthcoming surgeries - thereby taking on with greater confidence more complicated routines
- smart packaging allows the development of pharmaceutical/drug products that will aid in the use of the product
- digital mobile technologies are allowing many people to 'get closer to their health, by monitoring, gaining a better understanding and actively managing chronic conditions such as blood pressure and diabetes
- wearable sensor technologies (such as the contact lens mentioned above) allow for continuous monitoring of medical conditions
personalized medicine and pharmacogenetics provide for more targeted drug and medical therapies
- patient-generated data and shared patent-edited medical records are providing for more consultative medical relationships
- 'frugal innovation' is leading to such ideas as smartphone-based medical imaging capabilities
- continued rapid advances in the cost collapse of genomic medicine have driven the acceleration of Moore's Law
- AI advances led to an ongoing decrease in the cost of medical diagnosis, including pathology slides, x-rays, retina scans, and more
- continued advances in anti-aging strategies are accelerating, aligning with the continued longevity of baby boomers who chose to live a healthy lifestyle
- inexpensive medical tests often referred to as a "lab-in-your-pocket" devices are going mainstream
- the 'exercise is medicine' trend which recognizes real methods to reverse the staggering cost of lifestyle disease
robotic technology advances providing opportunities for those who have lost hands or limbs
There are a lot of big ideas and bold solutions.
Science fiction is science fact!

Futurist Jim Carroll wrote a little book in 1996 called Good Health Online after a bout with Bell's Palsy. Many of the predictions in the book about the evolving world of healthcare, medicine and doctor/patient relationships became true in the years to come. Sadly, a blog post he wrote in 2017, 'The Emerging Healthcare Reality Crisis," also predicted with stunning accuracy, the anti-science mindset that emerged during Covid.

The prediction on the rear panel is close. Yuri Gagarin had already been born and was 22 years old when the book was published. He was the first person to journey into outer space, aboard the Vostok spacecraft, and was born in 1934. He completed an orbit of the earth on April 12, 1961.
This book from The World Publishing Co. is just one of several popular books that, together with magazine articles, TV shows and movies, explored the possibility of space travel and sparked children's imaginations during the 1950's. So, in May 1961, when John Kennedy proposed a trip to the moon and back by the end of the decade, no generation was more eager and better prepared for the journey than the children of the 50's. Many of them would go on to become space pioneers and make their childhood dreams come true. May the dreams never die.
No matter how bad housing market conditions look, inventory restriction engineered by lenders will keep prices up and prevent a crash.
Back during the financial mania, I enjoyed writing about the upcoming housing crash. As with any mania, people were irrational, and nobody wanted to believe a... at Housing inventory manipulation overrides all bearish predictions

A Well-Trained Orchestra
This gallery depicts a series of futuristic pictures by the French painter Jean-Marc Côté and other artists issued in 1899, 1900, 1901 and 1910. Originally in the form of paper cards enclosed in cigarette/cigar boxes and, later, as postcards, the images described the world as it was imagined to be like in the then distant year of 2000.
At least 87 were produced, and I have managed to capture 73 of them 😊. While a few were on point (A version of Skype or Facetime), many were wildly off-tangent (underwater croquet, anyone?). And all are definitely worth a look!

This is a screenshot from the climate change video presentation in the +5 Degrees Cloud Forest Dome Theatre, the last place you visit before exiting via the Secret Garden.
Higher altitude flora and fauna communities including the mossy gnarled cloud forest of Lord Howe Island and the cloud forests and cool temperate rainforests of Australia, Asia, Africa and South America face difficult times ahead if scientists prediction of global temperature rises of up to 5 degrees or greater by 2100 eventuate.
Species that cannot adapt to higher average temperatures and potentially, reduced moisture, will become extinct. Other more heat/dry tolerant species will invade these places adding further pressure to their survival.
The +5 Degrees video presentation in Singapore's Cloud Forest Dome paints a gloomy picture if action is not taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with great urgency.
Impacts of climate change will be variable and in many cases catastrophic affecting some of the world's most vulnerable people. Some Pacific islanders threatened by sea level rise are already desperately looking for new homelands.
It is predicted that there will be an increased frequency of more damaging storm events, bushfires, flooding, drought and heatwaves differentially impacting on human, flora, and fauna communities, depending on where in the world one lives.
The cloud forests are under imminent threat in many parts of the world. Places like Singapore's 'Avatar like' Cloud Dome could be a last refuge for many species that inhabit these regions.
On 1-12-15 I wrote this description to the pictures I labeled as #1 to “#34 D of nukes, VJ day & 911”. It's because the Sweet and Low T-shirt I'm wearing led to a “theory of relativity” revelation that I explained in class #4 vimeo.com/116519992, here's the title:
#4 has a Sweet & Low "theory of relativity" explanation of Pearl Harbor, the 911 disaster and a “Heal The World” Christmas present from heaven.
The best Christmas present seemed to be class L123 (2-2013) because it has the most divine signs to assure us that there will be no nuclear war on earth. It includes the warning I gave on 12-18-02 that the USA was in danger of a nuclear war and the letter I wrote to six states on 9-21-04 saying we’d been delivered from the threat of the nuclear war. I got more confirmations of that on 12-7-04 at Pearl Harbor at pictures #23 to 32. Like #31 is a picture of a rainbow going through “the Christmas tree” on the USS Missouri. That was just like pictures #23, 24 & 25 at the Bowfin submarine museum of nuclear warheads pointed at a kid standing by a Christmas tree. These were big confirmations of the signs I got that we had been delivered from the threat of nuclear war especially because of another example when heaven took away our fears and gave us a Merry Christmas in it's place in 1993.
From class 216 www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfKJYXCgGNg&index=14&list....
In this video I explained that people were afraid of all the end of the world signs that were so obvious by December 1993, (it started with Desert Storm in January 1991). I was eating dinner at a restaurant in Waikiki when I heard a Christmas song and realized the answer to those “end of the world” fears was to get into the spirit of Christmas, it was a Christmas present from heaven to trade fear for a merry Christmas that year. This starts with a view of Waikiki where I was eating that dinner and the Christmas song I heard called “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of Year”.
These pictures at Flickr started when I was called, (loud and clear from heaven), to go to Pearl Harbor about four times a year from 1999 to my last visit on 9-2-05. One reason why is what I wrote at Pearl Harbor picture #2 at Flickr.
In my hotel room in Olgalala Nebraska in 1994 I saw cartoon of how much Porky pig hated history, (it was my worst subject in school), and the spirits of the founding fathers were teaching him that it's worth learning about. It's like the picture (#5 D of nukes) of me having a drink with a cigar, (because I needed two cigar breaks to get through a day at Pearl Harbor). After my third visit to Pearl Harbor at my cigar break I noticed on the cans of Nestea a snowman and a sign that said “it cools you to the core”. I knew it was a sign so I said to God, “I’m not getting anything out of this but I'll keep coming if you say it's going to cool me to the core”. I finally got up to speed on Pearl Harbor just before the 9/11 disaster which was like the saying “those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it” and that is main reason why we got a repeat of Pearl Harbor on 9/11/01. In other words it was the founding fathers teaching Pearl Harbor to the rest of the Porky pigs in the United States. I just realized that might be in the Beatles song, Come together, right now
Over me.
He roller coaster
HE GOT EARLY WARNING
He got muddy water
He one mojo filter
He say one and one and one is three
Got to be good looking
'Cause he's so hard to see [that’s don't exceed your 15 minutes of fame(?)]
Come together, right now
Over me
There's too much to write on this so I'll just provide links to the classes where talked about this before, like at this last paragraph at class L112 vimeo.com/50116128 or see my patriotic playlist at YouTube www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVDkjTNqYqh0ylmTqlRo-H5dVl....
This is a list of my patriotic classes at vimeo.com/user8696549 and www.viddler.com/channel/Mikeoverson.
#186a vimeo.com/32431850 & b vimeo.com/32431994 were first then 169 and 161, (the links are below). Class 161 is about The Pentagon Wars and classes 99, 103 and L109 have nearly an hour patriotism. I condensed L109 into L112 and made L113 vimeo.com/50390744 to go with it then I summed it all up in class L123 vimeo.com/60109388. Class 171 vimeo.com/43436258 is how America needs to get the magic of patriotism back. Class L97 vimeo.com/45990216 shows the difference in human rights and freedom in the USA verses in Europe. I tell a sweeter version of that at my YouTube
playlist PL11 www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVDkjTNqYqh1adV--hsXO4URt4..., it's at the fourth video, class L127C or read my patriotic playlist
PL7 www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVDkjTNqYqh0ylmTqlRo-H5dVl....
PL6 has similar info and so does PL1 to PL5 at www.youtube.com/channel/UC3-RWtlOIS_k_TbVkYj_c5Q/playlists.
A video plays on page 1 & 2 at MikeOversonEndTimes.org to explain why you need to be tolerant of a teacher, prophet and "the one" who is a disabled mess on welfare, (it's because this is the best your money and applause would pay for). It's also where I have more patriotic classes like on page 3 at #182a1 is 1776 & Vietnam @ 38 to 54 min.
Here's what I wrote at Pearl Harbor picture #1 here at Flickr.
Pearl Harbor picture #7 is nearly the same view as this picture #1 except it's from the other side of the Arizona and the Mo. I think only God could arrange for that aircraft carrier and crew to provide a perfect completion and balance of these pictures. It's just another example of how magic our military is like I said at class 161 vimeo.com/33034450, (after the first three paragraphs the rest is just extra info).
When I was trying to find out why this 161 was such a special class it seemed to be due to how much I paid attention to military, (=rq704pm on vets day 11-11-13 is a big confirmation). When it happened again in classes 99 vimeo.com/36995187 and L109 vimeo.com/49352072 I finally gave proper credits in L123 vimeo.com/60109388 when I said "the most magic in my classes always comes from touching base with the greatness of the US military, so here's the the American Revolution and World War II" @ 54 min. If the US military is this much good luck and magic when when you're doing bad, (the first 11 minutes of 161 is about corruption in the military), imagine what it would be like when you're doing good, (read 206 vimeo.com/76811342).
From class 169 vimeo.com/30629125.
I was hoping that God would bless us with a visit from heaven in this 169 if I put America’s heros first (@ 1 to 15 min) and that’s exactly what happened. One reason that is so important to God is because it’s impossible to comprehend all that God has done for us but a very good parallel is to pay proper respect to the sacrifices of America’s heros, (or any heros of faith like Ghandi or Bible heros). This 169 was the start of the AWESOME military magic in classes 161, 99, L109, L112 & L123 and all because I loved porn so much that I thought up a new angle to beg God to bless us with a visit. See how impressed God was with me @ 8 min in L5b vimeo.com/35772901.
The best two 15 minute summaries of this military magic and US history are in classes L112 vimeo.com/50116128 and L127c vimeo.com/107209155. I watch them both on a regular basis because it's such a good refresher course.
From class 194 @ vimeo.com/90080993.
The Eagles reunite CD titled "Hell Freezes Over" was also a prophetic "see (c//) parallel" confirmation sign and combined with my "rhythm nation" drive, (& many other c// signs), it all added up to a loud and clear sign to the USA and the world that everyone is going to heaven when they die. Another big proof of it is class 161 because it covers the next 16 years of my life to 2011. It includes when my "Rhythm Nation drive" ended and I flew back to Hawaii on 1-11-95, then it explains why I had to pray at least eight hours a day from March to September of 1995, (the #955 means "stay alive in 95" and only those long prayers could've kept me from being killed). Then I tell about "the powers that be" who persecuted me up to the 9-11 disaster and then backed off, here's a summary of it from the comments at
L99 vimeo.com/46238993.
Next was my way of mocking THE FBI ON 8-28-01, we were both saying that each other would die except MY PREDICTION CAME TRUE and theirs didn't. It's in class 161 @ 40 minutes where I said “Squirm you (powerless) worms I won big-time and you know it. Except I didn’t know HOW BIG I WON until after the 9/11 disaster”. Then I put it in class L127 vimeo.com/105315202 at 4 to 8 minutes, here's the title:
L127 is Walt Disney's 1948 prophecy of me as Pecos Bill saying to the powers that be “squirm you powerless worms!”
I could do that mainly due to how powerful prayer is to conquer evil and how important prayer is to God at 20 to 32 minutes in this 161.
From class 167:
I made #167 after Vimeo deleted 53 of my videos over copyright violations. I explained the apparent wrath of God that followed when 36 people were shot in New York over the Labor Day weekend in the 9-5-11 news, in other words Vimeo should watch class 167 before deleting messages from heaven over copyright violations, (this video #161 sums it up much better at 39 to 55 minutes).
My rock'n roll playlist PL11, (& PL2, 3, 5 & 9), at www.youtube.com/channel/UC3-RWtlOIS_k_TbVkYj_c5Q/playlists might best sum up the end of these classes or read L112 vimeo.com/50116128.
The Bottom Line of my classes is THE POWER OF PRAYER in L124 @ vimeo.com/63452028.
