Higher altitude flora and fauna communities including the mossy gnarled cloud forest of Lord Howe Island and the cloud forests and cool temperate rainforests of Australia, Asia, Africa and South America face difficult times ahead if scientists prediction of global temperature rises of up to 5 degrees or greater by 2100 eventuate.
Species that cannot adapt to higher average temperatures and potentially, reduced moisture, will become extinct. Other more heat/dry tolerant species will invade these places adding further pressure to their survival.
The +5 Degrees video presentation in Singapore's Cloud Forest Dome paints a gloomy picture if action is not taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions with great urgency.
Impacts of climate change will be variable and in many cases catastrophic affecting some of the world's most vulnerable people. Some Pacific islanders threatened by sea level rise are already desperately looking for new homelands.
It is predicted that there will be an increased frequency of more damaging storm events, bushfires, flooding, drought and heatwaves differentially impacting on human, flora, and fauna communities, depending on where in the world one lives.
The cloud forests are under imminent threat in many parts of the world. Places like Singapore's 'Avatar like' Cloud Dome could be a last refuge for many species that inhabit these regions.

我们的人生可以当儿戏吗？
我们可以否决这个事实，那么为什么每天里有那么多人会无缘无故而送命呢？
我们每天看到那鸡皮疙瘩的天文数字污染杂物与接踵而来的种种可悲画面。此数字只有不断的增加; 心里难免会挂著蛮忧虑兼紧迫感的情绪。到底我们可以向谁倾诉呢？
当我们的天空每一天都在变质时，有时严重到连想看见太阳都越来越难时。。。偶尔又听见它带来那么频密的天灾人祸情景，例如惊天动地的水灾，暴风雨雪，地震，天灾，火灾等等灾祸。
有些事情到底是天灾还是人祸，人们也模糊不清；难于画清这条分水线。。。
Understanding about this point, hopefully we will not become the unconscious violinists by all means. Or else, it will be a rather cruel kind of treatment for our entire world.

其实，我们也可以轻易及清楚的从任何潮湿的毛巾或布料、衣物、 长年累月饱受自然风吹雨打的任何墙壁，陈旧的屋顶瓦片和道路或任何地方、隔夜或隔几天后的食物里或死亡后的任何生物里等等检验到类似恐怖的证据画面。
这一切都不足警惕人民必须赶紧想办法参与如何解决这可怕的画面吗？难到我们要让它继续恶化不成？难到人们还有资格玩命吗？提早控制类似画面总比要面对更加恐怖与峻严的未来日子好。
我绝对不是想在蛋里挑骨头，只是不想看到或听到那么多人成为可怜的牺牲品；导致需要痛苦面对不必要的人生折磨。
身为地球村的一份子的我们还可以吊儿郎当、各扫门前雪、有资格不焦虑。。还可以继续自私自利冒险不管吗？其实，我们大家根本没有资格说不想变，反而要积极大幅度的改变。。。
当然。在人生的道路上，我们难免会面对无数的挑战。。要如何活出美丽的人生的确是一门很深奥的学问吗？其实，只要人们愿意低调的打开心胸深层沟通、互相支持；人们可以期许更加容易、方便和经济的解决方案吧！

预防远远胜于治疗。我们大家只有一条命罢了！某些历史或悲剧可以重演。。但是，我们的生命是永远不可以重演的。古语说“ 一失足成千古很 “的确是有其道理的。当然，这世界里没有完美无缺之事。人们也许也经常会面对太多迷惑的选择与挑战；
可是我们一定要冷静的分析做明智的决策为上上之策。 做错了选择，往往会让我们后悔一生。
虽然，有时人类看起来很渺小；不用说，唯有透过团结一致才能减低或改良我们大家的问题。我们总不能让无脑袋的物体继续发展它们自然结合所产生的力量和原理而来侵犯我们、大败我们罢！

Preschool Class Tests Predictions and Outcomes
Ms. Webers preschool class had a wonderful time conducting a science experiment called “Sink or Swim” to illustrate the concept of sink and float. The class used a big bucket of water and tested items like a popsicle stick, a bottle of hand sanitizer, a tiny seashell, a small pumpkin, a Kleenex and many more. First they graphed their “predictions”. Ms. Weber explains, “We guessed if each item would sink or float. Next, we put the items in one by one. We then observed the actual outcome. What a surprise it was to see that the tiny seashell sank to the bottom while the much bigger pumpkin floated on top of the water! Finally we re-graphed the results. How different our “predictions” and “results” graphs looked!!”
