Lower Lagarina Valley 20231031
Lagarina Valley (Italian: Vallagarina, German: Lagertal) is a valley in northern Italy, used to define the lower mountain course of the Adige River. It is mostly included in the province of Trentino, with the lower section being part of the province of Verona. The largest town is Rovereto.
The upper limit of the valley is generally set at the so-called "Murazzi", north to Besenello and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south to Trento. Above this it is known as Val d'Adige. The lower limit is the entrance in the Padan Plain, near the Chiusa di Ceraino.
As with the Val d'Adige, the Vallagarina is of glacial origin. Orographically, it separates the Brescian and Gardesane Prealps to the west from the Venetian prealps to the east.
The valley is home to several forts built by the Austrian Empire in the 19th century and older castles, such as Castle of Avio which dates to the 11th century.
In the locality Lavini di Marco, near Rovereto, are several dinosaur footprints attributed to the genera Camptosaurus and Dilophosaurus. The same locality is mentioned by Dante in his Inferno.

Evening at our camp near the edge of the high plateau of the Vercors Massif in the French Prealps. The fall from the plateau to the surrounding areas is between 800 metres (2,600 ft) and 1,200 metres (3,900 ft). The Vercors Massif is referred to as a natural fortress and served as the base for an uprising against the German occupation by the Maquis du Vercors, French Forces of the Interior resistance (maquis) that fought the German occupation of France in World War II. On 3 July 1944 the Free Republic of Vercors was proclaimed. To deal with this uprising, on July 21 1944 the Germans launched the largest operation ever conducted against the Resistance in Western Europe, attacking with airborne and mountain troops to destroy these insurgent groups. Memorials can be found at battle sites throughout the Vercors Massif. The photo is a panorama stitched from 5 vertical pictures.

It connects the Lago d'Idro in the southeast and the Lago d'Iseo in the southwest. The pass is closed from November to May.

The Lessini mountain group reaches to, just over 2000 meters a.s.l. and has multiple valleys and long ridges that descend down towards the Po valley.

Cima Dodici - Venetian Prealps.
The Venetian Prealps (Prealpi Venete in Italian) are a mountain range in the south-eastern part of the Alps. They are located in Triveneto, in the north-eastern part of Italy.
Cima Dodici is a mountain on the border of Vicenza in Veneto and Trentino in Trentino Alto Adige. It has an elevation of 2,336 metres.
Prealpi insubriche, "l'ometto di pietra" segnala la vetta raggiunta e suggerisce curiose simmetrie. Lo sviluppo all'epoca dato fuori e completamente sbagliato, evidenziava oltre misura la grana della pellicola. Ma anche quella, alla fine, suggerisce qualcosa.

Il senecio di Gaudin (Senecio gaudini) è specie endemica che fiorisce nelle praterie montane delle Prealpi Orientali. E' una pianta dall'infiorescenza luminosa, che tinge di giallo il verde dei prati in concomitanza con la fioritura dei narcisi. Sono speciali le piante endemiche, perché esclusive di aree geografiche ristrette e dunque gioielli la cui esistenza dipende spesso dalla saggia gestione del loro habitat da parte dell'uomo ..... ..
