Peat soils are rich in organic matter, and are one step in geological time away from turning into coal. This particular soil came from the lower coastal plain of South Carolina. Students enrolled in Dan Richter's Soil Resources course take a field trip across the Southern Piedmont to gain field experience in understanding the unique properties of various soil orders. This picture was taken in March of 2011.

Congress of the European Commission on Youth of Europe. Following the European Youth Week the European Commission organizes a debate on Youth on the Move in Antwerp. 150 participants there to debate with representatives of the European Commission.
37 participants of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) and their project managers come from different European countries together in Antwerp. They reflect a two days on four themes of the Youth on the Move Initiative (non-formal and informal learning, employment, mobility and inclusion).
While they leave from their practical experience as a European volunteer. On the last day (May 17) is the European Youth Award ceremony. The youngsters that day during a roundtable discussion with the President of the European Commission, Mr. Jose Barroso and European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Affairs, Mrs Vassiliou.
I spent 5 hours in the dentist on Friday - not the most fun on the Friday before your birthday. I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled, a crown and some other things done. They gave me a sedative, laughing gas and I was still on edge. The dentist said that most of the time one shot does the trick on numbing - he gave me 4 on each side. He told me I needed to spend more time on each quadrant, thus the quadrant timing electrical toothbrush!!!

Great example of TLM Nepal's foray into disaster risk reduction (DRR), connecting disaster training and leprosy education for community health workers.

【Lego Batmobile Tumbler】

As for my favorite version of batmobile, I took out 1000% passion to design it. The Speedchampion size is the most important thing on my list. So I designed as small as possible.
My design concept that the Tumbler is very flat and wide, like a crouching bat.
Secondly, the pursuit of clear edges and corners requires streamlined body, because the original designer of Tumbler was instructed to combine Lamborghini with military jeep.
Like all the equipment of Batman, Tumbler is militarized and modularized. Each piece of armor has a sharp edge and corner, which is highly practical. It can also be split into Batpod in the film.
Referring to the movie, I used the 58090 tire to restore the front wheels. The front wheels of the official set 56891 is kinda big and ugly, not smooth enough. In combination with the proportion, the 58090 is more appropriate and has a better aesthetic degree. I used the 56891 as the rear wheel. Finally, when I saw the finished product, I felt that my choice was correct.
This is my friend. She is expected to deliver within 3-4 weeks but I much respect her commitment to learn more deeper about photography.

Practical Truths includes the work of Jacob Cartwright & Nick Jordan, Jenna Collins, G. Leddington, Olivia Plender and Ben Rivers whose work is represented in film, sculpture and photography. The show explores issues around methods of documentation that attempt to grasp the dichotomy of the individual and the universal revealing various truths about human culture. The works in Practical Truths often use narratives that focus on individuals or communities that sit uncomfortably with the demands of conventional living and thereby convey a timeless sentiment that is neither defined within the present-day nor within a specific historic decade.

- Enhancing capacities to prevent the trafficking of radiological and nuclear material in the Black Sea region". During the five-day regional train-the-trainers (TTT) session, 22 practitioners from various governmental agencies of Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine, who have already participated in the previous national TTT events, have received the training. Aimed to review the subject-matter knowledge discussed during previous national TTT sessions, hold practical exercises on inter-agency and international cooperation, and practice lecture delivery skills. Participants also had a chance to work in their country teams and start designing their national training planned for 2022.
