I used to have a 4-in-1 reader in PC card format, but then I also needed to read type-II Compact Flash (Microdrive for my Digital Rebel, and GPS) which it didn't take, so this is the somewhat less compact solution. I don't like USB because it involves too many cables.

RIP, Casey's 4 year old internal drive. A quick fix though!

Took apart my hosed PowerBook to try and liberate my harddrive. Operation PowerBook was successful. I was able to get my data back. The computer? Well, that's another story.

My beloved Apple PowerBook G4 550 Titanium.

New Powerbook, ilife,Tiger, iwork, and airport Express.

The top is removed by gradually escalated prying along the circumference until cracking begins at any weak point of an interior solvent weld. Then the crack is walked completely around until the top lifts clear.
