A powder blue tang at the aquarium we visited yesterday. Really hard to photograph the Tangs as they move fast. They are members of the surgeon fish family - so called as the spines they can extend at the tail end is likened to a scalpel!

Lots of overgrowth - but we couldn't get in.

Phagwah, or Holi, is the Indo-Caribbean Hindu celebration of the new year.
More parade and low tech info on my Phagwah set page.
I was inspired by Jennifer at Jennifer McGuire Ink to make this card. I used Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree Stamps and Martha Stewart snowflake stamps on the background. I love layering stamps. I used 3 different colors of green and added a layer of snow with Hero Arts white embossing powder. The snowflakes on the background were inked with Wplus9 Lake House. My cardstock is a multi-pack of blues by Recollection, purchased at Michael's. Bo Bunny jewels were used as ornaments. The tree topper is something I had in my stash.

October 7, 2010. OCU Soccer Field. Proceeds benefited the YWCA of OKC and the OCU LAW Scholarship Fund.
Today I decided that perhaps I should get off my lazy butt and go walk at Powder Valley with M & M.
There were deer alllll over the place.
THE UNIVERSE HAS REWARDED ME FOR BEING UN-LAZY.
Yes. Perhaps I should try this more often? Haha.
The IFC2 curtain wall reflects the flat light of another hazy day resulting in an interesting, monochrommatic effect that seems to flatten the subtle articulation of the building facade.
As the gondola slowly moved into position, the cloud cover was shifting and it looked like I wasn't going to get the shot that I wanted. I actually put my camera away, but just before the gondola drew level with the division in the exhaust manifolds, the clouds moved in again, to give a relatively flat light on the east face, while the sun hit the south face making a nice, bright highlight.
This was even better than I imagined and I would have missed it if I hadn't looked back just one more time.

This stone windmill built by John Mallet about 1703 was sold to the Province for a gun powder magazine in 1747. Rifled by General Gage of the Colony's powder on 1 September 1774, it became a magazine of the American Army in 1775-1776.

Very difficult to make an interesting picture of this!
Arapahoe Basin receives over 350 inches of fresh snowfall annually. This image was taken in Montezuma Bowl, where powder days last for more than a few hours.
