Rain falls on us as we cross over Powder River Pass, a 9,660 feet, the highest point along US 16 though the Bighorn Mountains. There's a pull-off and everything. The mountain in the distance if Hesse Mountain, which tops out at 10,385 feet. From where I'm standing, it probably wouldn't be a that tough a climb.

It's called Powder Mountain because it's a mountain and there's lots of powder. We had about 4in here today, that makes more than 100in in the past ten days. Noel tons down the off-piste. Naughty Noel!

Here is a great shot of the new paint on the walls in the powder room. I tried to get the reflection in the mirror so you can see the wall paint with the pictures.
The Powder Tower (Prasna Brana) is one of eight medieval gate towers that guarded the Old Town in Prague.
It was once used as a store for gunpowder - hence the name.
January, 2013. The latest installment of our trips to Niseko, Japan, resulted in some of the deepest and most consistent snow ever. For 14 days we had one day of sun and only intermittently on a few other days did we the sun. It was fantastic and already looking forward to next year!
