Dramatic light on the peaks at Dream Lake. Lots of fresh powder meant difficulty finding foreground, but I quite like this snowdrift at the east end of the lake.

The Powder House (Y Cwt Pwdr) dates to the mid-18th Century and takes its name from its original use as a store for the gun powder unloaded from ships for use in the local slate mines.. In approximately 1897, the then redundant gunpowder store was converted into a dwelling house.

The crowds celebrate their love of Krishna and the beginning of Spring, and it is a joyous and colourful occasion. Photographed from a balcony above.
I made two shelves of some leftover balm(?) wood I had. The room is looking way more cosy already. I wish I had a narrow bench or something to add to it..
Powder is wearing a sweater with a new fabric design I got last week.
Definitely seem to have got through more of the above than the actual fruit in the last ten days or so... I hope to be putting them away in the cupboard again soon!!!

Totally cumbersome, idiotic and backward, this Floo Powder system. I wondered what happened right after they invented it - suddenly every household needed to enlarge its fireplace times three? Imagine arriving in a muggle sized one… Anyway, now we know why the Weasleys have this massive fireplace.
I took some creative liberties here, using dark orange and shape-wise, since the one in the movie is bland and boring. It was important to me to create one different from Marcel’s Gryffindor fireplace but at the same time have something that was simple enough for the Weasleys. Not easy, with the magnificent and intimidating version that his is!
There's a small rug with a Weasley tartan right in front - not sure how practical that might be in the long run with all the ash though.
I do like the arch just above of the opening. It's construction is actually quite simple and uses a couple of clips but it's look is nice. The rug took me a while but it was worth the effort I think. The colors work well and the pattern is nice, too.

This series is obviously heavily inspired by my friend Marcel who did the inspirational undertaking of doing a series of daily builds covering Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone last month. Please follow him as his work is amazing and deserves way more views than it currently has!

2,200 foot wooden bridge, original constructed in 1892. After sustaining fire damage in 1985, it was rebuilt the following year. Also known as Duxbury Bridge, Gurnet Bridge, Black River Bridge, Long Bridge, and King Caesar Road Bridge. Gateway to the beach
Crawford Hill in Nebraska is one of the relatively few places in the country in which manned helpers are still in use. The grade on Crawford Hill varies between 1.5% and 2.0% on the eastward journey. Coal loads from the Powder River Basin (and even some manifests) are too heavy to make the climb with the standard 2x2 configuration BNSF employees on most coal trains. However, extra power is not needed on the train other than on the west slope of Crawford Hill. It would be a waste of power to run extra DPUs the entire distance the train runs. As a result, a helper crew is based at the small town of Crawford, NE. Here, a pair of ES44ACs are the manned helper, shoving behind the pair of SD70ACes on the end of this coal load. In another few miles, at the Belmont Crossover at the top of Crawford Hill, the helpers will cut off the train and return down to Crawford to wait their next assignment. The entire length of the journey for the helpers is only about 12 miles (one way)! One additional thing to note in this shot. If you see the white puff spraying up near the base of the power, you are seeing some sand kicking up from the sanders that are currently active, helping the train to keep and maintain traction on the climb.
