Or should that be having a Geoff Hurst because this is a gent's urinal and 'powdering your nose' is a female euphemism for going the toilet. A woman could still use a urinal like this but her golden juices would go everywhere. Forming part of the Museum of London's Victorian Walk, this probably came from some gent's khazi in London in the 1960s or 70s before it got flattened and, being a booth urinal, it's unlikely any cottaging took place.

For those who don't know, cottaging is a Liverpool term for pleasuring other men in a gent's, which is probably why there aren't any public toilets these days - to prevent the likes of George Michael from looking for business, if you know what I mean. By the way, before you get on your high horse, I'm no homophobe.

Walt Bickel in a dapper powder blue leisure suit is all dressed up for Eric Janson’s wedding in the early Seventies. I don’t know whose idea it was to put the old gold miner in the what now looks like a rather ridiculous outfit, but I remember no one thought of shoes. All Walt had were scuffed old work boots. My Navy spit-shining skills were pressed into service and I put quite a glow on the old brogans.

I was so happy to see this Pink Powder Puff shrub in the new Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo - I believe this is a dwarf one. The one they had in the old Conservatory was a much bigger shrub and the flowers were red, but maybe this small one will simply grow bigger?

Just got back home from a very quick trip to a local park - well, it was quick getting there, but, oh boy, I must have caught rush hour on the way home. Had great fun watching a Porcupine that was up in a Spruce tree, nibbling on the branches. A real treat!

"Will you be my Valentine?"

2014 for LatiDoll brought many surprises, from brown tan skin, pink skin, truly limited events, new elven ears, beautiful new sculpts to the return of Lati White among others.

Along with all of the wonderful people I've met in the Lati community, my favorite part of LatiDoll 2014 was being able to finally adopt a tan Pero as this is my dream Lati. <3 So over the moon and happy to have her.

Love this little one so much! She demands that we address her by Princess San, but we call her simply San. ♥

What is nitrile powder-free gloves?

Nitrile gloves are latex free and most are also powder-free. This makes them a popular choice for people with a latex allergy or sensitive skin. These gloves are often used in healthcare settings due to their superior durability, strength, and resistance to chemicals.

For soldiers, hunters or frontiersman in the late Colonial period (1750s–1770s: the time of the French and Indian Wars and the American Revolutionary war), powder horns were indispensable companions to their muskets. Cow or ox horn made a convenient container for carrying and protecting gunpowder and its translucency meant one could see how much powder was left by holding it up to the light.

Powder horns were often inscribed with references to particular campaigns, rhymes, forts or towns, diary entries or maps – an art known as ‘scrimshaw’. Since maps were scarce during the time period, it is possible that map-inscribed powder horns served as guides for their owners, but it is more likely that they provided records or mementos of the areas that the owners traversed. Here, the imagery shows New York and other landmarks along the Hudson River. It was created using needlepoint and coloured with black soot and red ink. Each cut would have had to be made three times, possibly with a magnifying glass, and then the resulting 'scurf' removed to create a smooth finish. It would have taken weeks to complete. The British coat of arms suggests the owner was an American Colonial or British soldier.
