The old post office at the northeast corner of Linn and Washington Streets, 1915. Look closely - you'll see that this smaller building was incorporated into today's larger structure. They expanded the left side and added a second floor.

In October 21-22, 2017, the LIRR replaced the Post Avenue Bridge in Westbury – a span struck by dozens of overheight trucks in recent years resulting in train delays. Work was completed ahead of schedule, with the first regularly scheduled train passing over the new bridge at 1 a.m.
The new bridge’s height clearance now allows trucks of up to 14 feet to safely pass underneath, improving LIRR system infrastructure and service reliability. The old bridge -- that hovered over Post Avenue at 11 feet 10 inches -- had been struck by trucks between five and nine times per year in each of the past six years. Train delays in both in both directions would loom as LIRR crews worked to determine its safety and structural stability before restoring train service.
This photo shows the new bridge in place on October 23, 2017.

I researched into Victorian Post Mortem Photography for my exam topic of Shade and recreated my own shoot from the ideas I found in my findings.

The flash probably shouldn't have been used, but they were a bit dull without it.
railway post office (central post), rotterdam, 1954 - 1959, architect: evert + herman kraaijvanger, artist: louis van roode
Automation for this railway post office meant tall work areas with a minimum of columns. Its width of 34 metres is spanned in concrete supported by just one central column. There are less-tall office storeys on the east and west sides. In the double-height work areas, the scale is determined by a horizontal window rising 2.1 metres. The uppermost level, 9.5 metres high and without columns, is clearly expressed in the facade by brick and concrete architecture typical of the post-war reconstruction.
I grew up reading the backs of cereal boxes. Generally, I'm not a morning person, so when I was young, I would sit, slowly eating my cereal as my half awake brain read every word on the box of "Cookie Crisps", "Apple Jacks" or whatever was being heavily marketed on Saturday morning cartoons.
I think I remember that the boxes back then mostly had complete sentences.

If you think that this looks gross... try smelling it! Keep in mind that Hurricane Katrina hit about 5 months before we got to Biloxi... so this food has been sitting outside for quite a while. As soon as I took this picture, I got out of the vicinity of the stench as soon as I could.

Henri de Toulouse–Lautrec (1864–1901), was an aristocratic alcoholic French artist known for his socially unacceptable lifestyle. He observed and documented the Parisian nightlife through his post-impressionist artworks. Sharing a similar style as other well-known French artists such as Paul Cézanne and Georges Seurat, he created memorable works of art depicting the lifestyle that he enjoyed before passing at a young age. We have digitally enhanced the gorgeous Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec artworks and they are available to download and use for free under the CC0 license.
