Another childhood memory gone west, the post office in Pontnewydd, recently transferred to a nearby newsagents and now to let. My mother used to take my twin brother and myself in here to buy National Savings stamps with Prince Charles and Princess Anne on them. Later, I obtained my first PO Savings Book, and got my first passport (a British Visitor's Passport or a school exchange trip) here. Memories.
A trip to the Post Office with Jo and the dogs. The central San Diego post office is quite old in American years. These old post boxes just drew me to them.

Lamp post in the Suburbs. I wanted to retake one of my earlier shots but with the lamp post lights turned on. I'm not sure if I like this one better but I think in general, when one looks at a light, they want to know what it looks like when it's lit up. So here it is.

This piece belongs in what I call, my Post-IT Collection. Quite different from what I would normally do, this collection is quirky, fun, playful and would definitely kick-start a conversation! I hope it brings a smile to your face as it did to mine when I first conceived this idea :)
A true statement piece … created with polymer clay, imprints and then handpainted individually. The focal beads are finished with a thick coat of resin giving it a glass-like feel, at the same time magnifying all the beautiful details of the imprints within.
* The ear wires are 20 gauge, .925 sterling silver plated wires (copper core), slightly hammered for strength and form.
* The resin is supposedly waterproof (as stated on the packing that comes with the resin) but just for safety purposes I would not advise wearing the pendant while swimming or in a shower.
By renowned architect W T Oldrieve, 1903. Edwardian Baroque two storey 4-bay Post Office. Entrance bay to right with architraved doorpiece with dummy balcony; first floor window above recessed and set-in Doric columns, semi-circular open pediment rises into raised parapet with cartouche of Royal Arms. 1st floor windows close spaced containing swags hung from lions' masks between them; ground floor windows banded together Gibbsian fashion. Balustraded parapet screening slated roof.
Post box being painted gold in Wimbledon for local rower Sophie Hosking, who won gold in the light-weight women's double sculls in the London Olympics.

Post-op ward at New Life Children's Home - a place where 20 children were brought after various surgeries to recover. Broken arms, legs, casts, external fixators, amputations. Children with incredible stories- very brave children.

I live in a old Soviet apartment building and I lived there since my birth and all around i can see these cursed buildings and they alone can give depression.
A post box on the side of the 'Rabbit Run' road from Telford to Wombourne in Shropshire (and Staffordshire respectively) UK. Locals will know it, others probably have their own 'Rabbit Runs'........anyway, I digress. I nearly got run over twice by passing cars when trying to get the right angle for the shot from a precarious footing on the roadside verge.
