Wondering if this is the earliest sighting of a "Post No Bills" warning in our photos (in the archway at the right - no. 18). This is Shop Street, Galway obviously bathed in glorious sunshine, with a horse-drawn tram that's a little full, to say the least. Also delighted to spot the beautifully dressed woman with her bicycle.
Not too sure about date, so hopefully there are some clues in this shot to help us... This tram leaves us between 1879 and 1918, from Niall McAuley's link about the Galway and Salthill Tramway Company. And Niall also points out that if the photographer had turned left (and gone through a hole in the space-time continuum!), then he would have seen this view.
Thanks to mogey for providing us with a Street View of this now pedestrianised street.
Right, based on the comments below from Niall McAuley, DannyM8, RETRO STU and blackpoolbeach, we're going to go mad altogether and posit 1910 as a date for this one!

This inspiring house fits on an small landplot, but from the inside it has an wide open view, the textures used are uber realistic, nice shaded where needed.
Comes with an fireplace, house controle and, never seen before this... you get 5 ( yes ,5 ) houses in one set !
Each house has an other doorway ( 5 different options for the stairs on the front ) and this is what the designer said about it, "This house was constructed intending to sit on a hill. Since no hill is uniform, you will probably want to make modifications to the entrance. To help in modifications of the entrance to fit your land, several textures have been provided. "
And so, you get 5 houses ;o)) Super cool idea !

Harking back to a bygone era and a Post Office not tainted by scandal.
This rather grand tympanum is above the door to Oxford's Post Office in St Aldgates.
The Ho Chi Minh City Post Office is located just across the road from the Notre Dame Cathedral. It's a tourist attraction too.

Once there was a sign here that urged motorists to turn left or right. Curiously enough, the street does continue to the next block--but most people wouldn't want to go straight unless they intended to stop at the two houses and church on that block.
MOC: Post Office. A modern interpretation of the classic set 6689, "Post-Station".
There's a mailbox integrated in the facade, as on the original set from 1985. The stickers are the same style as the originals, but these come from MiniStickers.nl - they're selling a nice sheet with various mail-related stickers, including a copy of the sign with the opening hours and that nice 1x6 "POST OFFICE" sign.
