while walking down the stairs at my local railway station I noticed these old poster, was a time warp back to 80s judging by the dates on them. There pretty well preserved due to being coverd up for the best part of 25 years

“What is Creative Mondays?
Monday’s are always a drag. The start of a new week, you have to go back to that routine of going to bed early/get up early. If (like me) you have to commute then you prepare for that long journey into work and that long journey back for the first time after a nice two day break.
So to kick off those lousy Mondays, I’m going to get my creative mind flowing in a positive way. Creative Mondays. A chance for me to show off something unfinished or finished that I’ve been working on throughout the previous week.”
Fresh off of one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life, this week’s Creative Mondays comes as no surprise. Missing out on seeing the Foo Fighters earlier this year (after Dave Grohl broke his leg) was pretty disheartening, mainly because it would be the first time I got to see them play live. So when news was announced that they rescheduled the tour for September and that I could still go, I was super excited. Like fan-boy screeching noises excited.
I won’t go into too many details about the show but it blew me away. Seeing a band you follow for so many years in the flesh and hearing their music live is something else and it easily ticks off one off a bucket list moment. I’m still buzzing about the gig as I type and so I figured I’d post up a quick poster I put together with full focus on that awesome guitar throne that Grohl sits upon.

Promo poster I designed for the upcoming debut novel by Erin Morgenstern THE NIGHT CIRCUS.
Our bookstore set up a theme display based around the book release and we needed a sign.
This is heavily inspired by the cover art of the Advance Reader's Copy the publisher sent out. The final cover is different, but I feel that the book has so many images to choose from, that any attempt at literally-interpreting the contents would fall short.

This week, for our exploration of the 22 Professional & Artistic Fonts bundle, we are going to create a typographical poster promoting an alas fake chocolate festival. Yes, you have read that correctly: it’s all about chocolate today!
We’ll focus on techniques, tips, and tricks that will help us to design a file that will be ready to screen print. This printing technique has been around for a long time, and involves a manual process.
We’ll cover the limitations of the process, but also its advantages.
I've been asked to do our town's Community Day Posters for a second year now. This ones kind of special: The Town of Lyndeborough is celebrating it's 275th Anniversary. 1735-2010. BIG NUMBERS PEOPLE. Bigger than I am or ever will be. Humbling numbers to boot! Here's a early comp and a favorite of mine thus far. Clean, simple and bold. Right to the point. I'm using some found/scrounged type from the the William Page Type Catalog. No. 506 from 1887. This is one of seventeen styles that were die-cut types by Page and Setchell. Thinking this one will be a single color on a nice heavy matte stock. We shall see... Stay tuned.
