This was originally meant for a contest but didn't quite work the way I wanted it but I still liked it. Also... my hair is a straight biotch to photoshop!

Notes:
Originally a stone quarry until 1914, the Barnton Quarry site was used during the Second World War by the Royal Air Force (RAF) who built a Fighter Command operations room. In 1952, during the Cold War, this facility was expanded and a bunker built, comprising three underground levels, as the Sector Operations Centre for correlating information from ROTOR radar stations throughout Scotland.
The site was re-designated as a Regional Seat of Government in the early 1960s and the bunker kept ready to accommodate 400 politicians and civil servants in the event of a nuclear attack. It remained operational until the early 1980s.
Pictured is the R4 bunker access tunnel.

- No. But I might wish I had died.
When you're alive you've always got that ahead of you.

Week 5 Theme: POST-APOCALYPTIC
We went for a hike along the cliff tops at Point Reyes before returning to sea level to enjoy the amazing beach there. While on the cliff tops I got the idea for this weeks picture and captured the scene I've used to create this image. For the city scene is an older photo I took of San Francisco from Diamond Heights in 2012.
This former motel sign was repurposed to sell plots of land beside the Salton Sea. No disrespect to Bugs Bunny, but that turned out to not be a great investment.
Post-Apocalyptic dining at it's best.
Tralala's Diner in beautiful downtown Fort Stygian, The Wastelands. Serving only the finest free range meats. Slow moving, plump, tourists always welcome.

This week's theme is Post-Apocalyptic .
When I first saw the theme I thought, Whoh, this year's admins have really shifted up a gear, but I am very glad they have! So my first thought was an abandoned, overgrown street, and then reality hit me in the seconds that followed this thought, how would I do that....
This was the next image that popped into my head, and it may have something to do with the tv series "the walking dead" about to recommence their season.

An oldest deserted place in Second Life. There's only junk-pile, abandoned buildings and mutated species. I wonder why I feel at ease in this post-apocalyptic world?

Hey y'all!!! It's been waay too long since I've posted something here, and it's also been way too long that this build has been half-finished on my desk, haha! I've been wanting to try my hand at post-apoc for a long time though and the oil rig category in DA4 seemed like a great opportunity to do it, and even if this did take forever to finish (DA burnt me out a bit, haha), it was fun and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Definitely pulled some inspiration from The Last of Us and some of the great post-apoc builds out there, and especially from W. Navarre's epic post-apoc dio that y'all should really tell him to finish up and post, hahaha!
Hope you all enjoy it! I'm really glad to finally have my building space (mostly, haha) cleared off again finally and excited for some BoBS builds and the Summer Joust! And on the subject of DA4 - yes, I will be posting some of my favorite builds from that here sometime for those who haven't found my account for that, and maybe I'll even get around to an official reveal sometime, :P Hahaha - yes I know, it's a bit late, XD
Anyways, thanks for viewing, everybody! C&C are welcome as always!
The vault door to my LEGO Fallout MOC. Quite a few changes had to be made from the digital version to make it sturdier. Overall I like this version better anyway. Instructions: rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-107924/MasterBuilderKTC/fallout-...
Trashed structure in Bombay Beach. You could imagine what this once was: Smallish, cheaply built, and probably never luxurious, but a nice place to make happy memories with friends and family before the Salton Sea went so wrong.
It seemed to be a common theme in this little semi-abandoned community.
Me acabo de dar cuenta de que no subí por aquí la foto del reto de la semana pasada =_="
