VDNKh station from novel Metro 2033 .
In late 2013, a nuclear war occurred. Russia was targeted with atomic bombs, causing severe radiation across Moscow, forcing the rest of the people to live underground in the metro stations away from the deadly effects of radiation.
The protagonist of the novel is a 21-year old man named Artyom who was born before the nuclear holocaust that occurred in 2013. I have made Artyoms home station, VDNKh.

What can yah get for 52 Scrits in the Wastelands? Pretty much anything. Bored with haunting the Gacha fairs like a lonesome ghost? Drop in at the Wastelands for a dose of post-apocalyptic living. I made a mistake, these valleys twist and turn, the mountains hide the sun.
I find higher ground but still the valleys and mountains go on without end.
The Sun is falling and the mountains start to groan and scream at me.
I must build a fire to keep the shadows at bay.
Strobist info: Olympus FL50r shot to reflective umbrella on the front right, one FL50r hidden behind the rocks + one FL600r inside the barn. HSS/SuperFP was used to overcome the sunlight.
I don't know which is worse, the thought we might all go up in one big explosion, or the slow, inexorable destruction of the ecology of this planet we call home.
