Phew. G's birthday present (for tomorrow!) arrived in the morning and I'm so relieved.
What I wanted to buy was out of stock for months. Until last Wednesday. Then it said it'd get shipped within 2-5 days... Which of course meant 5 days ;)
And then they said it would take 2 days for delivery, which it did. I was so so worried, because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pick it up from the post office today or if they'd kidnap it for the weekend... But the postman was here early today and I was late at going to uni so I ended up not needing to go to the post office for it :)
Sadly he's not going to get it tomorrow morning with breakfast in bed because I need to leave before nine because I have an exam...

Ich konnte das Masaker zwar nicht gänzlich verhindern, die Verhandlungen führten aber zumindest zur Erschaffung eines kleinen Blumen-Reservats. Nichts im Vergleich zum prachtvollen Blumenmeer, das sich noch vor dem dem Mähvorgang ausbreitete, aber ich kann mich trotzdem noch daran freuen! :)
P.S.: Hab ich eigentlich schon erwähnt, dass ich gerne einen eigenen Garten hätte?
My revised version of Social Media in Corporations presentation has gotten it's structure. The process I'm using is based on the Presentation Zen book by Garr Reynolds.
1930's post cards of Farsund, Norway. On the right is the commerce center and if you look very closely at the left side end of the street you will see a horse and buggy, minus the horse! On the right, the waterfront buildings and harbor.
Applied to my leg during ankle surgery. The arrow indicates where the cast was opened and re-closed with more fiber tape to remove stitches and check the incision. Why didn't they give me a new cast? They didn't want my ankle to move.

The Liverpool Echo & Daily Post, two local newspapers, held a private viewing for a photograhy exhibition tonight. The exhibition comprises of images
submitted to their Flickr groups & I was fortunate enough to have one of my images selected to be put on display. It was great to see so many excellent photographs & meet the Flickr people behind the viewfinder.

A homemade post so as to "fly" a Glidecam HD 4000 using a Steadicam Merlin Arm & Vest. It is a 12.7mm (0.5") diameter / 200mm (7.87") long stainless steel bolt (typically used for attaching gates to fence posts). I used a couple of pieces of hose to hold a washer in place (the base of the Glidecam handle sits on the washer and not on the Arm). Finally there are two nuts to hold the bolt in place.
