This is a scanned photo from the Rathbun (sometimes mistakenly written as Rathburn) collection. My Great Grandmother Flora's sister Margaret "Mattie" Dunning married George Rathbun in 1885 and had 3 children: Emmett, Margaret and Stanley.
I don't have much information on this branch of the family, but thought they looked like an interesting bunch.
I welcome any observations or comments.

surrounded by her poor children and grandchildren,
Merry Old China quietly sips her tea and smiles on,
and in her smile I see her real strenght."

Wrench Post Cards. Gertrude Annie Collett Collection. Post marked Leicester, 20 May 1904. From Edie (Edith Mary Collett).
My great grandmother Gussie had plenty of suitors when she was younger. She collected a huge number of decorated post cards from between 1915-1920 of different people that sent her cards through those years. I now have those post cards. This one always makes me snicker. It is addressed to my great grandmother and on the back of the post card is a drawing of a man gawking at a lady. In pencil, my great grandfather, had written, "I see leg." Flirtation through the mail. My grandmother responded with a photo of herself showing leg. That was a bit racy for the times I guess.
A lápiz, mi bisabuelo escribió: “Veo pierna”.
Today we received a very cool post card all the way from Canada from our good friends jubewong. They went to Canada for their last vacation. Thanks so much guys for the post card. We love getting post cards so we stuck it on the fridge next to the West Mitton post card you sent us the last time you were on vacation
