the indian head is from last year, presumably by the same person who did the kitten stencil (www.flickr.com/photos/48593922@N04/7618577160/), since both stencils were found abandoned on the bridge the same day & both were cut in the same shitty xerographic bond. the bull is from within the last coupla days (as was a new stencil of a woman's head all over the place), this the only print i saw in my cursory looking around today.
tonight was my second time donating blood. i don't know why i haven't done it before this year, but i'm glad that i have started.
i thought it was really great that people brought their children to show them how everything works. one little girl, who i think was three, asked the most intelligent questions about what everything was for and why. she had no misconceptions about what was happening and she didn't know that some people might even be anxious about doing it. she even asked if she could touch the bag of blood that was sloshing around which i thought was perfect :)

White Flowers are used to absorb bad energy, I have a bunch in my room. I thought it would make for a fun photograph. This photograph was taken in my room and if you look closely on the right side where my nightstand is you may see the cheshire cat's grin. :)

This piece is my favorite project in this half of the semester because it turned out even better than I hoped (and the spooky subject is a favorite of mine).
I honestly don't feel that I have had any substantial growth as an artist this semester. Ive been in an artistic slump these passed months and don't feel that what I have produce in this class are as refined as they could be.
I have learned that I can use other medium besides paint to create beautiful pieces, so I'm not "stuck" with just one medium.
I need to work on how critical I am of myself and my art, it's gotten the way quite a bit.
I hope to continue to grow as an artist and keep producing art, regardless of weather I think its good or not.
My friend gave me this about three years ago, I kept it in front of my desk all the time.
The purpose she gave it to me is to remind me to be brave, even I'm facing with some really tough situations.
I get sad and pessimistic sometimes...there're times that I think I'll never get over it.
I have to admit, I'm not a person who can always have the courage to conquer every single challenge in my life.
But I'm learning.
Learn to embrace anything that comes toward me, and take them as events that will make me grow a little bit more.
I'm trying.

Primary School students were rewarded for all their positive behavior with a special event with Luau Relay Races.
Monika Reams lift water from stream to wash her car after we were locked behind the gate in a logging mountain. Her positive attitude helped us to get through the period. Without noticing, we drove into private lands and roads own by private timber company and were locked at 2:15pm and saved by police after 7:00pm. Fortuanatlly we knew how to enjoy and made fun of ourselves.

Living Positive is a unique city wide project, which explores living with or being affected by HIV, through Photography, created through a partnership between Artist Charlotte Barnes and the Manchester based charity Body Positive North West (BPNW).
Contact will be the main hub for a fifty venue city wide exhibition of prints on display through various windows,shop walls and in bars along with images on the City Gateway giant screen at Manchester Piccadilly Train Station. A free publication containing a selection of images will be available citywide.
