"SELDOM HAS A SINGLE EVENT HAD SUCH A POSITIVE EFFECT ON AN INDUSTRY AS TUNING WORLD BODENSEE

At no other tuning event can tuning enthusiasts and car afi cionados mingle at this level. From its beginnings as an insider secret in 2003, TUNING WORLD BODENSEE has become the absolute highlight of the tuning scene – for industry reps, tuning fans and visitors alike. Today, TUNING WORLD BODENSEE is Europe’s biggest trade fair dedicated solely to tuning.

Unique presentations and event modules have become yardsticks for other exhibitions to follow, and the newly introduced European Tuning Showdown (ETS) has also proved a massive audience draw.

Exhibitors and visitors all agree: TUNING WORLD BODENSEE is cool, fun, important, congenial and trendy!"

Summercamp's ProjectProject in conjuction with Side Street Project invite you to Afternoon Enchantments: Rituals for Finding Your Way Home hosted by Amanda Yates and Nathan Bockelman.

Participants create magic totems made from objects participants bring or objects provided by the artists, which are then used in a ritual ceremony. Participants clarify their understanding of what 'home' means, and make home what they want it to be, both through manipulating objects and materials; and reflectin

g on the space their home locates in the world. The event culminates in a ceremony through a labyrinth where participants imbue their totems with magic that works to resolve conflicted feelings about their place in the world.

Instructions are below for this very sacred and fun event.

Happening Magic: Totems

Starts at 5pm sharp

7:15 sharp we begin the charging ritual.

What to Bring (Note: You will maintain control of your objects, nothing will be destroyed without your consent):

If you are confused about of the below don't worry, just use your imagination.

A container: the container can be a wood box, a glass vase, paper, metal, anything you want, but it should be something important that you like to look at and have around.

An image: any kind of image (printed, drawn, even written) that conjures the spirit you want (for your home, for your relationship to Los Angeles, or for you in general)

An object: the object should be sacred and your use of it should be a sacrifice in a positive sense. For example, using a piece of trash you were going to throw away is not a sacred sacrifice. Using a piece of jewelry (or something) that you love and treasure IS a sacred sacrifice. Remember, magic is only powerful if it means something to you, using meaningless unwanted things makes meaningless unwanted magic.

Miscellaneous: any kinds of ancillary objects, charms, binding tools (thread yarn fabric wire decorations carving tools symbols etc). Bring them.

Magic tools: if you can, bring your cup, your wand, your sword or knife, your fire, your smoke (incense, whatever), your crystals and your coins.

If you have any questions about the evening, contact fallresidency(at)gmail.com.

PRESS RELEASE

Dare to Dream: New ‘Craftivism’ project

announced by Heritage Open Days

www.heritageopendays.org.uk

13th-22nd September 2019

This year, England’s largest festival of culture and heritage will celebrate its 25th anniversary, with a new arts commission focusing on those who have affected positive change and the power of gentle protest.

In 2019, Heritage Open Days will celebrate its anniversary with 25 Years of People Power. Against a backdrop of Brexit - a time of unprecedented social division and uncertainty - hundreds of events across the country will celebrate change-makers; those whose visions and dreams have brought positive developments to our society, both large and small.

Alongside festival walks, talks and openings, the Dare to Dream project will explore the power of positive visualisation in effecting change and finding solutions to the problems that surround us. Through a series of ‘craftivism workshops’ designed by Sarah Corbett, founder of the global Craftivist Collective, participants will have an opportunity to think about the issues that matter to them, and how to be an active part of bringing positive change, both locally and globally. The commission is the third in Heritage Open Days’ Unsung Stories strand, made possible by support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery with the aim of exploring lesser-known histories in new and innovative ways.

Participants will hand-stitch their positive visions for the future onto fabric ‘dream clouds’, share their creations on social media, and display them in meaningful locations to encourage us all to be solution-seekers and change-makers. “We’re thrilled to be working with Sarah, who embodies the gentle form of People Power that is at the heart of Heritage Open Days,” says HODs National Manager, Annabelle Thorpe.

“Throughout history, real change has come from those who have thought differently, dreamed big and believed solutions are there to be found. Dare to Dream offers a chance for everyone to think about how we can all positively shape the future, and make our dreams for a fairer, happier society become reality.”

Across the Heritage Open Days festival, Sarah will lead four free workshops, launching at

Dartington Hall in Totnes, where the concept for the NHS was established in the 1940s. Moving to Norwich, Manchester and Durham, each session will take inspiration from local dream-makers whose historic ideas helped to shape a new reality. Downloadable instruction packs will also enable organisers to run their own Dare to Dream workshops, enabling nationwide participation. After the festival, insights drawn from the workshops will create a picture of our dreams and hopes for society in the next 25 years.

"By having a vision rather than just fixating on a problem, our brains start finding ways to turn

those visions into reality” says campaigner, Sarah Corbett. “Join us and craft your creation, whilst you think deeply about what your dream for a better world will look like, and how you can be part of making it. Stitch by soothing stitch, we can help become change-makers."

Yesterday’s dreams shaped today’s reality. This September, join Heritage Open Days and the

Craftivist Collective to create individual dreams for a positive future.

By doing so I will send out vibes of positive energy into the world and I shall be grateful for all the wonderful things it will attract into my life.

Bumi panas Bumi membara.

The Kelowna Chiefs Junior Hockey Club, and Kelowna Financial Planning Firm, the Peacock Sheridan Group, are excited to announce today their joint efforts to support an initiative of Kelowna Chief player Myles Mattila. The Kelowna Chiefs, together with Myles and his teammates, will be hosting 3 home games in support of Mental Health Awareness.

The first of three Kelowna Chief’s Mental Health Awareness Games, will take place on Oct. 21st, 2017. The first game will be in Memory of Ryan Donaldson, a former player in the KIJHL. Ryan’s parents and sister, Kirsten Donaldson, will be in attendance, along with supporters of Myles from Jack.org, the only national network of young leaders transforming the way we think about mental health. Money raised during the game will go towards helping develop local Youth Mental Wellness Programs.

Peacock Sheridan Group is proud to support this initiative and the efforts of Myles Mattila. Myles is an advocate for Mental Health awareness and is a young leader who is committed to creating positive changes in youth mental health, not only for his team and the KIJHL, but also for students and youth throughout our community and across the nation. We are very proud to participate in this event to help bring awareness to Mental Health.

We ask you to come out on October 21st with your families and friends to learn more and support this important cause.

I been going though a bit of a shoot drought of late so when Julia wanted to come up to LA for the day I jumped at the chance. I was clueless on what or where to shoot so the plan was just to head to the costume shop and see what ideas would spark. The costume shot had alot of great costumes but i just couldn't think of one that would work at a location. After looking around for a bit we gave up and decided to head to downtown LA for a shoot. There has been a few locations i have always wanted to take portraits in in downtown so off we went. We walked for a few hours and what seemed like miles to different locations downtown and by the end of day i was just beat. After dinner we headed to my house to watch 500 days of summer when julia asked if i would put photoshop on her laptop when the keygen i had showed up as a trojan from norton. Thinking it was a false positive i opened it on my pc and before i knew it i was infested with 37 trojans. With my pc trashed I took the opportunity to upgrade to windows 7 and Photoshop CS5. So these are the first pictures I have edited on CS5. So far I like it.

Niks means "nothing" in Dutch and this Nixe tuna belongs there too. Nothing positive can be found about the Nixe brand from Ecuador. These cans are sold in Lidl's all around Europe.

Caught in FAO 71, 77 and 87 this is supposed to be Katsuwonus pelamis (Skipjack tune, real bonito), but Nixe has been known to mislabel their cans, so you could be eating anything.

I'd have to say No and pass on this tuna without any transparancy or extra info.

Witnessing the treasure trove of talent of the students, Mrs. Gupta said that the confidence, creativity, dance, music, theatre, art & culture of our extremely talented Presidians weaved magic on the stage. Describing the amazing Future Fest she said that it is called the Future Fest, because, our children are our future and one day the nation and the world will be in awe of their achievements. They will make us –the parents, the teachers and the school immensely proud. We at Presidium are working towards this future. She appreciated the efforts, hard work and passion of the teachers as well as the Starmakers Team in preparing and guiding the children for putting up a spectacular show. The last leg of Presidium’s annual Future Fest celebrated the love for art and creativity of our 5000 primary young Presidians from Grade Nursery to 3rd. The astonishing performances created a world of fantasy and charm that was truly exceptional and praiseworthy.
