TINY OWL DRESS!
I sewed this all today. I am irrationally excited. The pattern started as New Look P6749, but I added darts, curved princess seams and doubled faced hems. And married the smallest bust with the biggest butt. The dress also features my first fabulously invisible zipper. I am over the moon about this.
The fabric was a sheet I found at Walmart. Like you do.

So many good things happened in the last 18 hours.
1. I made plans to visit my parents in the sunny South. Goodbye, heavy coat!
2. I made plans to visit a friend in the snowy North. Goodbye, bare skin!
3. I made plans for lots of fun things with Punsir.
4. I met a family friend's grandson for lunch today. He's new to Philly, and we had a great time. I suspect I will also really like his fiancee. New friends!
5. The local NPR station was having a fundraiser at the place where I had lunch: buy a scoop of "WHYY Experience" and they get all the money. You guys, it was Egg Nog Ice Cream with Caramel and Chocolate Covered Pretzels. Fighting the power is so hard sometimes.
Today: WINNING.

Today was the day that will change our life forever. Newly married on 10 Sept 2005, my husband and I have been trying for 9mths for our precious little bundle to arrive. Today a miracle has happened and our test was POSITIVE!!!!! I've calcuated the due date to be 9 Sept 2007 (my best friends birthday). Our Second Year Wedding Anniversary !! I hope for the baby's sake that it does not fall on that date, I think it deserves its own special day in our life!. I am in complete shock, complete happiness and after several tests can still not believe it. The past few months have been focused on my photography and TTC has been pushed aside. I dont "feel" pregnant but im completely stoked on the news that has greeted us today. My family arrive back from London and we are having our own xmas day on the 7th since they missed out this year being home. I have an extra special gift to tell them all this year. This will be the first grandchild in the family on both sides. Just had to put this remarkable day on this site for me to always remember this amazing feeling of elation and excitement.
It has been over a year and a half since I was able to pick up a camera and shoot seriously due to heavy work load on my day job. Now that we are expecting again, I'm glad to be able to get a cam and hopefully be able to document the growing years as well as shoot other interesting things.
Just started my own blog.
