MADRID, SPAIN - DECEMBER 14: The Uruguayan actor, Enzo Vogrincic (Montevideo, 1993), is seen on Thursday, December 14, 2024, during the premiere of the film 'The Snow Society' directed by Spanish J. A. Bayona, in the Circulo de Bellas Artes, in Madrid (Spain). 'The Snow Society' has positioned itself as one of the most viewed films of the month of January on the Netflix streaming platform. For this reason, some of his actors have gained popularity worldwide, where one of them is the Uruguayan Enzo Vogrincic. In the film, Vogrincic plays Numa Turcatti, a law student who became vital to history due to his spiritual strength, which was important in keeping the hope of the rugby players alive in the midst of the extreme conditions they had to face live in the Andes Mountains. One of the things that the Uruguayan had to do was undergo a strict diet, losing 23 kilos to be able to show the reality of the tragedy. At just 30 years old, and after starring in 'The Snow Society', a film that received two Oscar nominations, the actor made himself known to the world and has already positioned himself as one of the most handsome actors in the film industry. 'The Snow Society' (2023), set in 1972, tells how Flight 571 of the Uruguayan Air Force, chartered to take a rugby team to Chile, crashed in the heart of the Andes. Only 16 of its 45 passengers survived the accident, trapped in one of the most hostile and inaccessible environments on the planet. Enzo Vogrincic, who gave life to Numa Turcatti, the last passenger to die before the legendary rescue. He has not only won the affection of moviegoers who saw the Spanish director's most recent creation, but also hundreds of admirers who have been fascinated by his physical appearance. On social networks like TikTok they refer to him as the new 'Chayanne', or as the new boyfriend of Latin America. The Uruguayan's fame has grown so much on social networks that, currently, he has more than 1.5 million followers on Instagram. (Photo by Hugo Ortuño)

The Daingean Festival 5KM road race and fun run was held in Daingean, Co. Offaly, Ireland at 19:30 on Friday 3rd August 2012. This race is now an annual fixture on the Midlands running calendar. The race is organised by the committee of the Daingean Homecoming Festival and Tullamore Harriers. The race starts at the Edenderry end of the town and travels anti-clockwise down the main street, onto Church Road and then the 'Circular Road' back to the Edenderry Road. The 4 loops provide a tough challenge for runners but generates a great atmosphere in the town as spectators can see the athlete battle it out for places and positions in all categories. An enjoyable evening's racing was had by all - with refreshments provided in the town hall after the race. The Daingean 5KM road race is an example of a small local race which year-in year-out attracts a quality field for all categories whilst also providing a great opportunity for those new to running to sample a race experience.

Checking the look of the "tile strip" along the bottom edge of the backsplash. I am also considering trying two strips along the bottom, so that bottom half of the backsplash wall looks tiled, with half the wall above that still a solid color. (I think doing the entire backsplash wall in the copper and aqua tape might be a bit much.)
Some of the lorikeets were pushing the other around on the window-sill, so some of them decided to sit inside for a bit.
Probably original position of the Dalwhinnie War Memorial

Dalwhinnie War Memorial
Both Canmore and the Highland HER have the Dalwhinnie War Memorial located at NN 63780 83930 / NN 6378 8393 and Canmore says there is a second one at NN 63677 84846.
There is no war memorial there but there is a slightly raised piece of ground at the side of the road that possibly has a hollow at about NN 65786 83930. But behind it at NN 63795 83929 there is a large rock that seems to be on a concrete base but with no plaque on it.
I suspect that this must have been the original location of the war memorial and it was moved into the village perhaps when the old A9 was widened / re-aligned.
The current war memorial is at NN 63677 84818 which is nearer the corner than the position on Canmore.
