A photo from a series of over 300 that I took one wet Saturday evening. Although it was raining I headed out in the hope that it would stop. It didn't. Fortunately, a couple of hares, one quite young, were grazing and grooming in the rain. They were soaked and bedraggled and looked really tatty. Once I'd got settled in they settled down and ignored me. I was there for over two hours and nearly seized up. My arms, shoulders and neck were agony from holding the same (uncomfortable) position. The rain was fine but quite heavy, you can see it driving past the camera. the deep lens hood on the 600 mm lens and the angle I was shooting at meant I only got rain on the front element once. I only moved position, over a distance of around a 100 yards three times all evening. Being such a foul evening no one appeared to disturb me and the hares.
