Images shot for Studio 101A in Amherst NH

It's been my pleasure to develop a friendship with newly formed recording studio Studio 101A in Amherst NH.

They wanted some photographs done of some of the bands and musicians who have recorded albums in their studio, and I got a chance to shoot NH singer/songwriter Katie Rose.

I need to shoot more people barefoot. I love it.

Our final for my Drawing I class was to do 9 close-up self portraits. It's not me being conceited, but I just love doing self portraits because I know myself best. At the time, I had my septum pierced, if you can see... Drawing I. Fall 2008. Pen and Ink.

This is not the greatest, but the dog posed so nicely for a change! The girls faces are out of focus and the exposure is wrong!

Trying out some stylized headshots

Taken by the lovely JodieM at the girly dinner that MissWired and I hosted tonight. Despite initially not wanting to go, I'm glad that I did.

Hakan was my fifth stranger for the day and my fourth that was a visitor to Sydney and my third who was flying out that night. So 3 of my strangers were likely to be having a reunion at Sydney International Airport later that night! I saw Hakan from behind first. His hair captured my attention. He was reading a book when I approached him and introduced myself. I told him about the 100 Strangers project, details of which can be seen on the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page. I asked if he would be my stranger number 19 and he readily agreed. Hakan is a native of Sweden and has been travelling and working for the last 12 months. He spent two months in Thailand and 10 months working his way around Australia. He was enjoying his last spot of sun before his flight home that night. He said the trip would take 29 hours with 21 of them in the air. Hakan also said he would not be enjoying the change in ambient temperature of his homeland upon his return! Totally understandable!!

Safe Journey Hakan and thank you for being my stranger number 19.

Sarah, electric violin/keyboard with Final Clearance Posing for a photo shoot for their second album released in 2010 - 'No Love Lost'/ Photo taken with a Pentax ME Super, using an SMC Pentax-M 40-80mm f2.8 lens and Ilford XP2 B&W 400ASA film.

TT took > a photo of this same person at the same time as I did. The light catches her face differently and the colours are less flattering for her in this light than in my husband's portrait of her ..... (which is quite funny)

In my picture the shaved eyebrows look quite uncomfortable and not so delicate. This shot emphasises the non-japanese nature of the girl beneath really.

Trying a little hand with Bokeh & Portraits.

my first attempt at drawing shammi. he's difficult. note the small pencil behind his ear, handy for miniature golf scoring.
