On my way home from work I was awestruck but the colors created by the setting sun. I went to the closest, highest point I to catch the view. On the far side of the Eastern Prom there is a little park (Loring Memorial Park) that looks out over Back Bay. It was breathtaking.
I worked for these guys for several weeks fixing their back stairs, repairing their side porch roof, painting, and doing some repairs to their bus. I took this picture as they were preparing to depart for Burning Man in said bus. He's an occupation therapist, she's a waitress. They live in this historical Portland house and play in a band.

-Kayaked on the Willamette River and explored Ross Island
-Hiked Lookout Creek Old-Growth Trail
-Visited and hiked Carpenter Mountain
-Whitewater rafted on the McKenzie River
-Visited and toured Bonneville Dam
-Hiked Bridal Veil Falls State Park
Quarrying and backfilling have left lots of scars across this part of Portland, along this part of the coast are blow holes such as caves created as the lime stone was removed
It makes a very interesting place to visit,
