Miami FC vs. Portland Timbers.

We rounded out our time with some night shooting of the Portland skyline at the waterfront before heading to the airport for the flight home.

A community event for all ages! Hosted on April 4th, 2015, Portland Day offered the local community an opportunity visit our new campus home, the Arlene & Harold Schnitzer Center for Art & Design, and to participate in some fun, free activities. We made robots, did some face painting, and had an awesome time!

Portland Zombie Walk 2009

Underneath the Burnside Bridge near downtown Portland, a bunch of local skaters built their own skatepark.

No permission. No permits. They just did it.

But it turned out to be amazing. So amazing, in fact, that they got the city to approve it.

Yes, Portland is the greatest city in the United States.

Oh, if any skaters want to shoot photos or videos, feel free to hit me up. I'll do it free.

Went to Portland Bill to try some night time photography and was lucky enough to find a view of the Milky Way. I am sure I can do better so will be researching the Dark Skies sites to get better pictures.

Got bored the other night, and thought I'd have a drive into town to see if I could find anything new and exciting.

As usual, I had to be home at a 'decent' hour, so I could make it to work without so much of a problem the following morning. Uneventfully, I trudged the streets, looking for the 'shot of my dreams.' Oh, you know what I'm talkin' about. You've got it visioned in your head and yet you somehow just can't put it through the viewfinder. That's how this whole night was. Not necessarily a bad thing, this predicament has taught me two things:

A) Learn to really see in your mind what you want to be in the viewfinder

B) Use different lenses, focal lengths, apertures, exposures, ISOs, etc to get what you have in mind. It won't be on the first shot. And good on you if you can ever get it exactly how you imagined at all.

Oh, Portland, what a splendiferous city thou art.
