LRT (Light Rail Transit) fits easily into the streetscape of downtown Portland, Oregon.
In some locations, streetcars can share the right of way with motor vehicles or cyclists, the busier systems will have exclusive rights of way.
Clean, quiet and efficient, LRT is the right solution for those of us planning new systems of transit to evolve more sustainable transportation systems and more vibrant, livable communities.

Here is a B&W of Portland's South Waterfront. The area is a huge victim of the down economy, but it's really amazing to go when the weather is good....
I was blessed with a gorgeous sky day for taking photos of the Portland Head Light. I decided to turn this into a black and white because of the dramatic sky. I think it lends itself well to a black and white photo, though I am rather partial to the colored version.
It's easy to get in the way of the tram if you don't know how to drive in Portland. Since I'm a newbie to Oregon and Portland it's a challenge to avoid being run over. Salem is much more driver friendly.

About 30 folks joined me on a tour of Portland's Neon Signs in the Downtown area on a Wednesday night. Sadly the Made in Oregon and Portland Schnitz sign weren't on, but we saw lighthouses, chinatown, Go By Train, Streetcar, and Cab, Jello Shot, Dance, Monkeys, The Rose, and the Cowboy! My favorite smaller neon is the coffee cup/wine glass. Pre ride we had pizza at Old Town, and post ride many of us had Sushi. The ride was just over an hour, I guess Neon makes us Hungry!
