Mom and I powered through the last of the Northern Spies we picked a few months ago this past weekend - this year we got a total of three pies and a BIG batch of applesaucey goodness under our belts! The Vietnamese potbelly pigs repeatably terrorized the lone guinea pig until it squealed. I guess when it came right down to it the guinea pig preferred the company of it's bullying namesakes to that of the multitude of killer rabbits roaming freely throughout the compound.
After the fire of 1884 that destroyed the original building, this was built as a hotel with 30 rooms, a dining room, and two stores at the street level.

When it is pouring rain, you have to be ingenious to keep the interior dry. Here, the owner had clamped a couple of beach chair unbrellas above the side windows and laid chamois on the roof to stem the tide of water running off the roof into the car! Most of the roadster owners just accepted the interiors were going to get wet.
