NS 3220 leads a tanker local through NS junction with a nice painted cabooses on the back. First time shooting at Ohio street!!

Panning clockwise starts at the Southeastern end of Ko'olau Range at Kuliouou and the Hawaii Kai subdivision, then Koko Crater with its peak, Kohelepelepe (or Puʻu Mai), rising to 1208 ft or 368 m. Then comes Koko Head towering above the expensive homes of Portlock on it's left flank and Hanauma Bay on its East Flank. Portlock was once the home of Henry J. Kaiser. The peninsula is called Kaihuokapua’a and the crater on Koko Head is ‘ihi'iheiauakea. Finally, we come to the Paiko Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary.

The day I took this VR, I was planning to use my Ricoh Theta-S, but the batteries died and so I used the Google Camera App on my Samsung Note 4 instead. Much more difficult since you have to shoot multiple shots instead of just one for the Theta. Took four tries with the first blacking out on one section, the second, staircasing the ocean horizon and the third splicing Koko Head into two parts. I finally got it right on the fourth try. Luckily, I had switched to a 4400mA battery for my Note 4. I don't think my original Note 4 battery would have held up. There were two good things about using the Google Camera app instead of the Theta. (1) The horizon is generally horizontal which is important when you have an ocean scene (something I wish the Ricoh people would fix) and (2) you can shoot out the camera operator or any semblence of a tripod.

Ivor, VA - 02 JUL 2022

NV01 begins to pull up to Portlock Rd with NS #6110 at the lead. Had to wait back at Carolina junction and wait for 29G to head up to Bridge 7.

NS 275 leads the way onto Bridge 7 with NS 4647 leading the way to portlock yard with a newly acquired AC44CW from CEFX trailing behind. Seen here passing the Gilmerton Bridge in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Went to a place called Portlock Point to watch the sunset. Obviously a very popular spot. This is a SOOC JPG shot in Fujifilm's Classic Chrome film simulation. Love the bones of this image, and I can't wait to do the final edit on the RAW. Follow me on Instagram @alben.osaki to see more images! CC welcome.

NS 234 zigzags across the points at west end portlock on a very cloudy evening with two BNSF engines in the consist at 1:31PM. Was really happy with this picture and consist, i loved seeing a H2 Dash 9 for the first.

I was able to go out for spell while visiting my fiance's family in Prichard WV over Thanksgiving, resulting in this shot of 272 (Detroit to Portlock) crossing Gragston Creek near Cyrus on the Kenova District. Nobody seemed to mind my flamingo balancing act on the guardrail.

Tonight Cole and i headed to China Walls for sunset. The light hasn't been great but still pretty nice clouds. We decided to hang around a bit after and get some star shots before we ate. While hanging out, waiting for it to get a bit darker we talked with this cool group of fisherman, I finally decided to ask them to stand still for 20 seconds to see what I could get! My hand moved more then I wanted but I have a better one from last night that I'll share someday! I have been loving the Goal Zero flashlight that I got, its pretty powerfull and changers with usb or solar and of course makes for a great prop!

Im back home now and already catching trains. Starting off with NS 820 rolling down Yadkin with a tier 4 leader and limping its way to lamberts points. Apparently because of PTC issues.

NS 276 makes it to Portlock yard in south Norfolk, Virginia with two EMD motors up front. Today 276 blessed us with the 1800 engine specially painted in a yellow bonnet scheme from NS back in 2018. These ACC locomotives are some of my personal favorite and 1800s paint scheme is very striking in a sea of all black and white locomotives.

NPBL NB90 rumbles through South Norfolk headed towards Norfolk Southern Jct with GP38-2 duo 5260 and 5261 leading the consist. For expecting to snap a few rosters of the engines laying around, we did damn good.

NS 236 with 6 engine head to Portlock in South Norfolk in Petersburg. went a little lower for this shot. i wanted to be closed to the engine as it roared passed me and it was really cool, 236 normally runs with 3 engines so to see double like this was crazy. i sure you can tell I'm really happy with my two NS picture from this spot, i have a video I might put up of 236.

Brand New NS 272 comes roaring by Shell road with #4466 leading its way to Portlock yard. always fun to see the WRFX leasers that are running around as of right now.

This train used to be 271 but was changed to 272. Even numbers are supposes to be Eastbound and odd number are supposed to be Westbound. Makes me wonder if there gonna changed 275.
