Unveiled at the 1920 Brussels Motor Show, despite its reduced size it presented careful technology, with a chassis made from one piece of pressed sheet metal and a three-speed transaxle, but as it was very narrow the manufacturer deprived it of a differential. Available with a two-seater body in tandem, or side by side, it quickly gained an excellent reputation for sobriety during the "5 liter can" competitions which were all the rage at the time: it won its category in that of the Ferté-Bernard, where she covered 117.10 km on 5 liters of gasoline, while setting a lap record at 40 km/h!

Coachwork by Barker

This car is equipped with a bodywork beautifully executed by the London coachbuilder Barker & Co. Interesting detail: the rear compartment is covered with fabric upholstery, a material

considered at the time to be more comfortable than the leather which covered the front bench seat, less fragile and reserved for the driver.

This rare example equipped with classic projectors instead of the usual Marchal Mégalux was produced in less than 200 copies. She is considered the most beautiful Facel. Its tapered bodyline and harmonious grille evoke power, while its light and bright roof translates luxury and comfort: these adjectives sum up the personality of the Facel.

The car presented, Borneo green, was given in October 1959 by the Régie Renault to

Princess Grace. It is therefore one of the very first examples, remarkably well preserved: it

has less than 7,000 km from new. As part of the Florida launch, Renault offered an

identical car to actress Brigitte Bardot.

Monaco

Monaco, officially the Principality of Monaco (French: Principauté de Monaco), is a sovereign city-state, country and microstate but claimed by the Occitan nationalism, located on the French Riviera in Western Europe. France borders the country on three sides while the other side borders the Mediterranean Sea. Monaco has an area of 2.02 km2 and a population of about 38,400 according to the last census of 2016.

With 19,009 inhabitants per km², it is the second smallest and the most densely populated country in the world. Monaco has a land border of 5.47 km, a coastline of 3.83 km, and a width that varies between 1,700 and 349 m. The highest point in the country is a narrow pathway named Chemin des Révoires on the slopes of Mont Agel, in the Les Révoires Ward, which is 161 metres above sea level. Monaco's most populous Quartier is Monte Carlo and the most populous Ward is Larvotto/Bas Moulins. Through land reclamation, Monaco's land mass has expanded by twenty percent; in 2005, it had an area of only 1.974 km2. Monaco is known as a playground for the rich and famous, due to its tax laws. In 2014, it was noted about 30% of the population was made up of millionaires, more than in Zürich or Geneva.

Monaco is a principality governed under a form of constitutional monarchy, with Prince Albert II as head of state. Although Prince Albert II is a constitutional monarch, he wields immense political power. The House of Grimaldi have ruled Monaco, with brief interruptions, since 1297. The official language is French, but Monégasque, Italian, and English are widely spoken and understood.

Port Hercules (Port Hercule) is the only deep-water port in Monaco. The port has been in use since ancient times. The modern port was completed in 1926, and underwent substantial improvements in the 1970s. It covers almost 40 acres (160,000 m2), enough to provide anchorage for up to 700 vessels. The port is located in the La Condamine district of Monaco. Source: en.wikipedia.org

Purchased at the end of the 1950s by Prince Rainier, this car is the oldest in the collection. It was used in 1968 by the Princely Family to participate in the famous London-Brighton rally reserved for cars before 1905.

To mark this anniversary with dignity, the Monegasques offered, on May 31 of that same year, Prince Rainier III this superb Cisitalia 202 convertible.
