Experimented with creating pop-ups. This was the first elaborate piece.
Cat on a stool, by a table with a mug and a vase.
Fail for this pop up: the accordion is not the right shape for the head.
It will not make easily an half pipe.

The experiments with lighting bubbles in a fishtank, just using the cameras popup flash continue.
Phase 2 was to include a bit of colour into the mix. A fairly simple addition by placing a couple of pieces of fun foam to the backdrop and to the sides of the tank. The flash hitting the backdrop projects the light back into the tank from behind.
As the flash is directed over the tank, the green, white and orange reflectors are above the tank, while a black background is directly behind.
Although I like the effect of disappearing into the black, next step is to try and light the bottom a little better, more reflectors needed ;-)

Astroid (Roemer, 1674 and Bernoulli, 1691) is a hypocycloid of four cusps. The construction was the same as that given in the description for Lemniscapes of Bernoulli. The multipage idea came from a pop up card in Rob Ive's "Paper Engineering & Pop-ups for DUMMIES". .

PopUp location just appear for a few days or weeks at a very exklusiv location and offer great dinning.

They made a beach, with palm trees and deck chairs, out of nothing - in the middle of Newcastle. Nice!
