The experiments with lighting bubbles in a fishtank, just using the cameras popup flash continue.
Phase 2 was to include a bit of colour into the mix. A fairly simple addition by placing a couple of pieces of fun foam to the backdrop and to the sides of the tank. The flash hitting the backdrop projects the light back into the tank from behind.
As the flash is directed over the tank, the green, white and orange reflectors are above the tank, while a black background is directly behind.
Although I like the effect of disappearing into the black, next step is to try and light the bottom a little better, more reflectors needed ;-)

Time for phase 3 of the popup flash experiments. For ths I tried to add a little more light from underneath using even more reflectors :)
Far from perfect, the light from below is still quite weak, but considering the light is all coming from the single light source, I'm quite surprised how far I have been able to take this.
In total there are 9 reflectors in use here, including the 2 coloured ones which are just there to add the orange and green. The rest are just to relect light from different angles.
When I started, I never would have thought I could get it this far, but think I have reached as far as I can go with it now, so this could be the end of the journey. Must admit, it will be nice to get back to multiple flashes again :)
