100% polyester is hot and scratchy, not to mention too bloody tight (the label says xl, 17- 17.5, but it must have been left to shrivel in the sun), so it came off fairly quickly.
it's friday, i'm off early and my weekend begins now. be well and enjoy yourselves.
Took a few tries to get this one. I started as a grey pencil drawing then sat for months before I redid it in colour.
The New Rodéo-Series was the answer of Renault on the succes of the 1968-1987 Citroën Méhari.
The Rodéo is built on the platform of the R4 Fourgonnette and was made of polyester.
The Rodéo was designed by Ateliers de Construction du Livradois (ACL), Arlanc (Fr.).
In July 1976 the ACL emblems disappeared from the body.
In July 1978 ACL was renamed as Teilhol, the company which constructed the 1981-1987 Rodéo 5.

'Monet's garden through a Moroccan quatrefoil': yardage in Polyester Crepe de Chine printed by Spoonflower. Spoonflower's newest fabric, lightweight and delicate, would be ideal for thin blouses and scarves.
The colors of this design remind me of Monet's beautiful light- and shade-dappled path through the garden in his painting "Garden in Giverny, 1902", hence my title.

For several years, I was unable to post videos here for whatever reason. They just wouldn't upload, so I gave up until not long ago, when I attempted again and discovered success. So I'm now rolling out over some time here videos (in reverse chronological order) that have previously only been available on my YouTube channel.

* gold/clear "ear cuffs" (long dangling jewelry cuffed to the sides of the ears), from Forever 21.

My computer files are playing up and so I am glad just to be able to put something of Jojo up for you and this one is certainly a favourite of mine, I hope you like it too.
These bangles were made in the 70s and 80s of cast Polyester resin in Brazil, using many different techniques that include casting, machining, inlaying, dyeing, tumbling and polishing, as a display of the immense craft possibilities of plastics.

This image was created in response to the Macro Monday's 9/30/24 challenge, "Cloth." The subject is an old polyester cushion.
France : 1972
1 cylinder two stroke 49cc engine, mounted on the steering column.
Front wheel drive by chain.
Polyester body.
Left door folds up to allow parking between two cars, perpendicularly to the road.
Right door is conventional.
Two kart wheel are added to the front, to avoid rolling over.
Speed : 30 km/h
A female Polyester Bee, Colletes fulgidus longiplumosus, browsing on a St. Catherine's Lace buckwheat. Note her long hairs on her legs and thorax. She's seeking nectar on the buckwheat but is not collecting pollen at the time. These female pack pollen onto their hind legs and even up to the side of their thorax.
This is right outside the visitors center for Don Edwards in Alviso where there are several buckwheat plants.

Cast Polyester resin bangles, made using varied casting, machining and dyeing techniques. Made in Brazil by unknown makers.
Originally I cut holes in the bottle cap to hold the soil insde the planter. It doen't take very long and the roots clog up the bottle cap.
So, I now use a "wick/soil retainer" (approx. 1" by 3") made from polyester batting material (felt). Lay it in the neck as shown.
Note that cotton material would work also, but not last as long as the polyester batting material. The cotton will rot, polyester will not. Pelon is one brand name.

My fashion consultant (aka spouse) insists my accumulation of 1970's era polyester are horrors that should be disposed of. I thought the most unflattering lighting I could create might help this too-skinny shirt improve my image.
