Innovation Tower or Jockey Club Innovation Tower, is a building of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. This building will be her first permanent architectural work in Hong Kong. Originally expected to be completed by the end of 2011, it was not finished until mid-2013.[From Wiki]

Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Abbreviation: PolyU) is a university in Hong Kong whose teaching units are grouped under six faculties and two schools: Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Construction & Environment, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health & Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, alongside with the School of Design and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
The school was founded in 1937 as the Government Trade School. Located in Wood Road, Wan Chai, the School was the first publicly funded, post-secondary technical institution in Hong Kong.
After World War II, the school became the Hong Kong Technical College in 1947, offering both full-time and part-time courses. The year 1957 saw the opening of the new premises of the College in Hung Hom. The College offered the first accounting education program in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic was formally established on 1 August 1972, taking over the campus and staff of the Hong Kong Technical College. Its mandate was to provide professionally-oriented education.
Having gained approval from the University and Polytechnic Grants Committee for self-accreditation of degree programmes, the Institution assumed full university status on 25 November 1994, changing its name to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Today, PolyU is an institution of higher learning and offers more than 130 postgraduate, undergraduate and sub-degree programmes, supported by more than 1,000 academic and research staff members from different parts of the world.

I dread it when people ask me what I photograph, because I don’t really photograph anything particular that is deemed interesting to normal humans.
This is Hong Chong Road (康莊道), a road next to the Cross-Harbour Tunnel (海底隧道) in Hung Hom (紅磡). Far in the background is Hotel ICON (唯港薈), which is the teaching and research hotel built for The School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM 酒店及旅遊業管理學院) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) [1].
I photograph this because I like how the lines lead the eye through the frame. This is for my 中文字形 Chinese Typographic Forms series, where I find Chinese characters in a frame after noting that the concept of 形 Forms is not readily appreciated by the Chinese audience but they can relate to Chinese characters.

Energia (Energiya) was a Soviet rocket that was designed by NPO Energia to serve as a heavy-lift expendable launch system as well as a booster for the Buran spacecraft. The Energia used four strap-on boosters each powered by a four-chamber RD-170 engine burning kerosene/LOX, and a central core stage with 4 one-chamber RD-0120 (11D122) engines fueled by liquid hydrogen/LOX.[4] The launch system had two functionally different operational variants: Energia-Polyus, the initial test configuration, in which the Polyus system was used as a final stage to put the payload into orbit, and Energia-Buran, in which the Buran spacecraft was the payload and the source of the orbit insertion impulse. The rocket had the capacity to place about 100 tonnes in Low Earth orbit, up to 20 tonnes to the geostationary orbit and up to 32 tonnes to a translunar trajectory. Combining elements from traditional Japanese cultures with a modern twist, LEUNG Shuk Han, Stella’s Kyotokyo starts off the show with its imaginative prints and flowing lines. Particularly of interest to me is her rocked-out Geta (Japanese footwear).

Void Pirate WM - 01 Inferno
Based on a prototype design the Inferno packs a variety of updated technology to increase the performance of any Void Pirate mecha pilot. Lt. Viper can often be seen teaching new recruits and although despised by some is respected by most. If you see this coming for you on the battlefield it's already too late...
Design:
The Inferno is a complete redesign of the Widowmaker mecha I created a very long while ago. Now using Stud.io instead of LDD, the MoC is completly buildable, stable, newer elements, posable and contains parts that exist. The centre torso is completly new as is the weapons (MML still modified).
Very much inspired by Armored Core, a game I loved growing up and still play from time to time.
