Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Abbreviation: PolyU) is a university in Hong Kong whose teaching units are grouped under six faculties and two schools: Faculty of Applied Science and Textiles, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Construction & Environment, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Health & Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, alongside with the School of Design and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.
The school was founded in 1937 as the Government Trade School. Located in Wood Road, Wan Chai, the School was the first publicly funded, post-secondary technical institution in Hong Kong.
After World War II, the school became the Hong Kong Technical College in 1947, offering both full-time and part-time courses. The year 1957 saw the opening of the new premises of the College in Hung Hom. The College offered the first accounting education program in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Polytechnic was formally established on 1 August 1972, taking over the campus and staff of the Hong Kong Technical College. Its mandate was to provide professionally-oriented education.
Having gained approval from the University and Polytechnic Grants Committee for self-accreditation of degree programmes, the Institution assumed full university status on 25 November 1994, changing its name to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Today, PolyU is an institution of higher learning and offers more than 130 postgraduate, undergraduate and sub-degree programmes, supported by more than 1,000 academic and research staff members from different parts of the world.
Canción: “nunca me faltes Tu“
Malacates Trebol Shop
nunca me faltes tu
Void Pirate WM - 01 Inferno
Based on a prototype design the Inferno packs a variety of updated technology to increase the performance of any Void Pirate mecha pilot. Lt. Viper can often be seen teaching new recruits and although despised by some is respected by most. If you see this coming for you on the battlefield it's already too late...
Design:
The Inferno is a complete redesign of the Widowmaker mecha I created a very long while ago. Now using Stud.io instead of LDD, the MoC is completly buildable, stable, newer elements, posable and contains parts that exist. The centre torso is completly new as is the weapons (MML still modified).
Very much inspired by Armored Core, a game I loved growing up and still play from time to time.
Armament:
Shoulder warheads
Arm warheads
Karasawa Laser X-00
Hermes MML - 02S
Polyus Satellite Cannon (Stolen from a decommissioned Russian Satellite).
I was going to PolyU to see a drama performance yesterday. Noting that I would pass through the Hung Hom MTR Station for this performance, I took the tripod and the Manfrotto 303SPH pano head with me so I can photograph the station on my way back home.
You can see that I have a similar shot earlier [1], which was a 360-degree pano shot without a panoramic head, and it was full of parallax error. But the earlier shot was done during rush hour so there were definitely more interesting things happening—you could do people watching, for example.
For this shot, the architecture is more pronounced, but more succinctly, you can see that although pano heads are not exactly cheap, they do serve a very functional purpose.
Stitched with 12 captures with the 6D + 17-40 f/4L. To accentuate the ceiling, these shots were angled 30-degree to the horizon, and thus require spherical projection to stitch accurately.

The Innovation Tower [1] designed by Pritzker-prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid [2] for Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Design is one of those amazing architectures which I have been following since its inception—and am so glad to see it being built.
Zaha Hadid is one of my all time favorite architects, and this building will be her first permanent architectural works in Hong Kong—but hopefully not the last. As many people in the architecture world know, what is seen on paper rarely get built, so it was truly amazing to see this in person yesterday when I went to do location scouting at the PolyU yesterday.
The bamboo scaffolding has just started to be taken apart. For those who are unfamiliar with Chinese traditional structural engineering, almost all buildings in Hong Kong were built in this manner [3]. Not only are bamboo scaffolding uses nylon straps to tie knots as couplers. They are structurally strong yet light enough to carry around, thus speeding up the process to build skyscrapers both efficiently and safely.

“This collection is inspired by global riot initiated by teenagers, local political and social issues. Traces of it can be seen from the pattern on fabrics, details on accessories to the vibe of the final outfits as a whole. This collection is also one of the so many ways to celebrate the waking up of youngsters from ignorance, self-egos and work their ways out against the corrupted social value, ideology and bureaucracy, of which their actions are always regarded as a form of social disturbance. on top of that, it allows me to express my own personal perspective.”—Rhyox Wan, designer

WHY! who makes much of a miracle?
As to me, I know of nothing else but miracles,
Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,
Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,
Or wade with naked feet along the beach, just in the edge of the water,
Or stand under trees in the woods,
Or talk by day with any one I love—or sleep in the bed at night with any one I love,
Or sit at table at dinner with my mother,
Or look at strangers opposite me riding in the car,
Or watch honey-bees busy around the hive, of a summer forenoon,
Or animals feeding in the fields,
Or birds—or the wonderfulness of insects in the air,
Or the wonderfulness of the sun-down—or of stars shining so quiet and bright,
Or the exquisite, delicate, thin curve of the new moon in spring;
Or whether I go among those I like best, and that like me best—mechanics, boatmen, farmers,
Or among the savans—or to the soiree—or to the opera,
Or stand a long while looking at the movements of machinery,
Or behold children at their sports,
Or the admirable sight of the perfect old man, or the perfect old woman,
Or the sick in hospitals, or the dead carried to burial,
Or my own eyes and figure in the glass;
These, with the rest, one and all, are to me miracles, The whole referring—yet each distinct, and in its place.
To me, every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle,
Every square yard of the surface of the earth is spread with the same,
Every foot of the interior swarms with the same;
Every spear of grass—the frames, limbs, organs, of men and women, and all thatconcerns them,
All these to me are unspeakably perfect miracles.
To me the sea is a continual miracle;
The fishes that swim—the rocks—the motion of the waves—the ships, with menin them,
What stranger miracles are there?
