May last year's fallen leaves recompose and bubble up new ways of seeing and being for you in the New Year.

Denver, Colorado

Sadly it is difficult becoming to find scenes like this in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver, which is basically the north end of downtown. So much seems to have been, or is being ripped down and replaced by expensive, large contemporary style condo and apartment buildings.

Have a whole box of pencils from my late Uncle, he loved to draw and sketch. Also, he used to sharpen pencils with a knive and had a special handle in which he could use the ones that were too short to hold.

No longer a thing these days, when I think of all the pencils offered by the company with the big blue letters and that are taken home then thrown away.

A multi-functional spatial concept combined with an aesthetically

impressive architecture and an ecologically well thought out infrastructure creates the ideal conditions for events for from 40 to 4,000 guests.

I noticed the super cool review of Frank in his ARTKORNER ( www.artkornersl.com/post/junction-points-selen-finding-yo...)

Love not only his indepth review but also the great images he made of Selen's works.

Please read his review and do visit Nitroglobus to enjoy the art and video of Selen with your own virtual eyes.

Look at yourself as a colour- you may not be everyone’s favourite , but one day you’ll meet someone who needs you to complete their picture

Normally, our dwarf hydrangea is a pretty little summer shrub with very small flowers. But with the extreme heat this year, it didn’t bloom.

Now, in the first week of Autumn we are getting tiny gorgeous buds. The minuscule bright red points on the leaf edges are a nice detail.

This week’s experiment: 3 different shots using different gear, light, & shooting approaches.

The Longmen Grottoes (aka Longmen Caves) is a UNESCO–listed world heritage site which has thousands of statues of Buddha carved in caves excavated from its surrounding cliffs. Unfortunately, the site was subjected to significant vandalism and senseless destruction at several points in its history. Major artifacts were removed by Western collectors and souvenir hunters during the early 20th century and by the Japanese during the Second Sino-Japanese War. The heads of many statues were also destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.

The Chinese government has since recognized the cultural and tourist importance of the Longmen Grottoes and has been active engaged in the preservation and restoration of the site. For more information: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longmen_Grottoes

On the sent of a lady.

Mohave Point has a fine view of the near vertical, 3,000 foot high cliffs that encircle The Abyss and continue towards Pima Point, two miles west. Beyond, further to the west, are three of the next points (Yuma, Cocopa, Havasupai), fading into the distance. Below the huge cliffs, about half a mile of river is visible, including Boucher Rapids and Granite Rapids, at the end of Monument Creek which occupies most of the near ground. In the east, the ridge extending from Hopi Point blocks some of the canyon, so the panorama starts with Bright Angel Canyon on the North Rim, and includes Ninetyone Mile Creek, Trinity Creek and Ninteyfour Mile Creek. Directly below Mohave Point is a distinctive red sandstone mesa with jagged edges, known as The Alligator.

San Francisco, CA

I didn't use the drone in San Francisco. Upon coming into town, there were signs posted not to fly drones anywhere around the Golden Gate Bridge, and I'd been disappointed that I was forbidden to use my drone all along the coast, at State Parks, or on the beaches in Humboldt County.

One thing I did do I haven't done since 1975 or so was to ride up the elevator to the top of Coit Tower, on Telegraph Hill, in northeastern San Francisco.

The windows up there were clear and clean, and this photo was taken on a nice afternoon looking east toward Russian Hill from the observation deck of Coit Tower. You can see a bit of the Golden Gate Bridge and the twisty part of Lombard Street on the upper right. The street running through the center of the photo is Filbert Street, with Washington Square Park on the left and Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral on the right.

The tall buildings on the left are the Cloister Apartments and the Royal Towers.

Big Sur, California

A series of three rocky points along the Big Sur coast just after sunset. The one actually called Rocky Point is in the distance. The rocks themselves are granodiorite that was created long ago somewhere far south of here and which has since slid north on the Pacific Plate.
