Montana Rail Link's nightly LAUBOZ-20 rolls by the pair of abandoned grain elevators, at Reed Point on 10/20/2022.
LAUBOZ was one of the cooler trains on MRL, being high priority and often lead by a pair of SD40-2XR's, the train would make good time out of Laurel in perfect lighting.
However, the job would be cut after the Twin Bridges derailment/collapse and the traffic lumped onto the ML and LM. BNSF did revive the job, however I am not certain if its still around or not.

My first morning in Utah last week, I went exploring on my own to Dead Horse Point State Park. The view was spectacular and enjoyed greeting the day there.

Sunderland Point is a small village in the marshland to the south of Lancaster that lies on a windswept peninsula between the River Lune and Morecambe Bay. It was originally a port for cotton and other ships, but its use declined as other nearby ports opened up.
The building was a gift from King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and took two years to build at a cost of around £5 million. It was officially inaugurated on 8 August 1997. When the building was opened there were over sixty limousines and impressive security measures.
It is the southernmost mosque in continental Europe, and is one of the largest mosques in a non-Muslim country. (wiki)
Many thanks to Dorota for this information. :-))
Neist Point is a viewpoint on the most westerly point of Skye. Neist Point Lighthouse has been located there since 1909.
Neist Point is the most westerly point on the Duirinish peninsula on the Isle of Skye. It projects into The Minch and provides a walk and viewpoint.
Basalt at Neist Point is very similar to that at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. A steep path leads down from the road. Whales, dolphins, porpoises and basking shark can be seen from the point. Common seabirds include gannets, black guillemots, razorbills and European shags. Several rare plants, including saxifrages are found on the point.
As the sun was dropping an hour or so before sunset on Saturday at Point Lonsdale with the Flickr crew. Loved the sea mist that creeps into the gaps in the landscape.

Early morning walk, at this time of year the sun rises behind the lighthouse when viewed from the headland at Amlwch.
Ezekiel 21:15 “I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.”
We made our way down to Carnsore Point Sunday to capture the night skies around the ruin of St Vogues Church. It was nice to see the skies clearing to reveal a view Comet Neowise and a shot here at 3.45am
The classic view of Gloucester's Eastern Point Lighthouse, overdue for a paint job, in less than classic weather. If almost everyone shoots this scene from the same point of view, it is because the breakwater is only about five feet (1.5 meters) wide on top, though it is just over 4/10 mile (almost 0.7 km) long. That large stone standing above the wall in the foreground was lifted at some point by wave action, most likely at a time nobody was there to watch.

This is Marble Canyon Arizona, at a place called Buck Farm Point. This is the beginning of the Grand Canyon on the East Side.
A lovely bit of Red Sky this morning at Newbiggin, had not planned on a sunrise as forecast was poor, but needed toilet, so checked out window and it looked decent, but only had time to make it here, worth the trip in the end

In my opinion, this is the best overlook in America. By this time of the morning, the canyon wall were catching enough sun to reflect in the river below.
A night by Collins Pool with a tiny island view, under the dazzling rise of the Southern Milky Way and the auroras.
Just as if nature had planned it, the Aurora Australis started to paint the sky in soft waves of pink, red, and yellow.
Most people know the northern lights, but our southern auroras are rarer because of how the Earth’s magnetic field interacts down here. Without as many land masses in the south, it’s a treat we don’t often get to see as brightly in the south. In fact, I didn't even realize the #auroras were that bright until I was already into my 2nd shot of this sky's pano, had I known, I would've used a wider lens...easier to stitch.
The image is a composite, the ground was shot while the moon was out while the sky was captured on the same night after the moon had set.

Two years ago in early November I bought my current and first DSLR camera. I had not done any night shooting prior to my coming to the annual lighting of the Pigeon Point Lighthouse's Fresnel Lens. I was a nervous wreck trying to get set up, and a fellow photographer even attempted to sabotage me by telling me to do things that made my shots worse.
I came away that evening with a decent shot, but because I used a high ISO a very grainy shot. Well, it's been two years and they re-lit the lens tonight and I was able to try getting that shot one more time.
I met some wonderful people and got to hang with my friend Paul and even saw another flickr contact I haven't seen in a while.
It was a fantastic evening!
Last weekend in North Devon, This is the path that follows the cliff edge around to the stunning baggy point , The path on the left takes you down to the rocks but with big surf hitting the rocks not a very good idea to go down there. Sadly we did not get all the way around as time was against us .
Many thanks for taking my previous image into explore much appreciated all your kind faves and comments .
