I remember our drafting subject during high school. Had a hard time at first, then enjoyed it later. My favorite part was perspective drawing, where you get to see your drawing in a more realistic approach (having a reference/vanishing point).

Point Clark Light is one of six “Imperial Towers” constructed around Georgian Bay and the Bruce Peninsula by John Brown in the early 1850’s. All six towers still stand.
Built between 1855 and 1857, the Point Clark light is the only Imperial Tower located on the mainland, and therefore accessible by vehicle. The 90-foot high limestone tower warns mariners of a dangerous shoal which lies a few miles off shore. The tower is topped by a 12-sided lantern framed in cast iron.
The light has been proclaimed a Canadian National Historic Site, and continues as an active aid to navigation.
The keeper’s dwelling and garage also survive. The keeper’s dwelling has been turned into a maritime museum owned by the Canadian Parks Service and operated by Huron Township.

"When the whole universe weighs upon us there is no other
counterweight possible but God himself--the true God, for in
this case false gods cannot do anything, not even under the name
of the true one. Evil is infinite in the sense of being indefinite:
matter, space, time. Nothing can overcome this kind of infinity
except the true infinity. That is why on the balance of the cross a
body which was frail and light but which was God, lifted up the
whole world. 'Give me a point of leverage and I will lift up the
world.' This point of leverage is the cross. There can be no other.
It has to be at the intersection of the world and that which is not
the world. The cross is this intersection."

A BALANCING ACT
This is one of my favorite lighthouses on the Oregon Coast. Since the mid-morning light was a little bland, I decided to try a long exposure with my 10-stop ND filter to get some cloud movement. Since I normally get a lot of vignetting with this filter, I decided to put the lighthouse in the center of the frame and use the vignetting to draw attention to the subject. It ended up working very well.
