East Village student, loved her outfit!

The House of the Faun (Italian: Casa del Fauno), built during the 2nd century BC, was one of the largest and most impressive private residences in Pompeii, and housed many great pieces of art. It is one of the most luxurious aristocratic houses from the Roman republic, and reflects this period better than most archaeological evidence found even in Rome itself.

Went to a local farm which is part of the county park system..Parky's Farm..for my daughters 5th birthday. A few of her friends joined us, and we got a tour of the animals, time in the play area, chance to ride some very gentle horses and a private room for cake and presents. A good day was had by all.

Threw a roll of long expired Vericolor II type S in a point and shoot camera on a summer trip to disneyland. Since the film was non DX coded the Canon sure shot read exposed it at ISO 25 which turned out pretty well for a 30 year old film. developed at home in the Unicolor kit from Freestyle

I absolutely love exploring along this creek, which has fascinated me since I was young. I've always loved water. I love to look at it, be around it and swim/wade in it. I've never swam in this particular creek though. I usually stick to pools.

The view has changed some in the name of progress. Some of the trees across the water have been cleared away for a new business moving into town. I do not know what that business is yet. They are still doing dirt work.

I love water and reflections. I was going for a natural frame look with this one and the central tree across the creek. There are three versions posted - one that is color and two that are black and white. I really like the shadows in the foreground of the black and white versions.

Helaas geen optimale foto, maar het resultaat met de pocketcamera had slechter gekund. Een SZD slaapwagen Type Y. Best guess qua wagennummer: 017 05003.

The Phase. project

The Vest Pocket Kodak was a miniature folding bellows camera with over 1,800,000 being sold between January 1912 and September 1926. When not in use the camera folded into compact shape measuring only 2½ x 4¾ x 1 inch, smaller than many present digital cameras. It was the first to use 127 roll film which provided 8 exposures measuring 1.5/8 x 2.½ inches, a size big enough to make contact prints as well as enlargements. With few exceptions cameras had a Kodak ball-bearing two speed shutter firing at 25th and 50th sec. as well as B (bulb) and T (time).

The small size and rugged construction made it suitable for use in the trenches in World War 1 and despite the illegality of this many soldiers carried these cameras in their battledress pockets.

Before use, the front lens plate of the camera was first pulled forward almost three inches on trellis struts until it clicked into position with its bellows fully extended. The standard camera (left) had a fixed-focus single meniscus lens situated behind the diaphragm and shutter. More expensive versions had Kodak and other manufacturers lenses, some of them focusing types. The camera on the right has a K. Koristka-Color Berthiot f6.8 lens which is the only known version in Great Britain. After 1915 all cameras had an Autographic facility which allowed the photographer to write a short message on the film which came out on the negatives/prints.

With the record high rains we have had for the past year, ...the ice wall does not disappoint at all. It constantly has ice seeping from the ground above.

The ice caves ought to be spectacular this year. Hoping to get around to seeing the ones near my home and the ones at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve very soon!

Due to lack of photography time, I decided to go back to October 2012 and my first visit to the Eden Project. At that time I had just started taking an interest in photography and my camera was a Panasonic DMC-TZ10 which cost around £110 and I still use it on a regular basis as it fits comfortably in my handbag, snuggled comfortably between my car keys and hair-brush!
