The 344.44 km2 (132.99 sq mi) Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is a sanctuary in Wayanad, Kerala, that encompasses four hill ranges namely Sulthan Bathery, Muthanga, Kurichiat and Tholpetty. A variety of large wild animals such as Gaur, Asian Elephant, Deer, Leopard and Tiger are found there. I was going through a few of my older shots, and realized that I never assembled this panorama that I captured during a beautiful sunset in Annisquam. I thought it would be worth revisiting now, as it was one of my favorite locations during my trip up the New England coast.
On that particular evening, there was an amazing radiant orange glow reflecting off almost every surface for as far as the eye could see. It was quite an amazing sight, and a beautiful way to close out the day.
- Some brief information on the Annisquam Light:
The lighthouse was established in 1801, on what was formerly known as Wigwam Point. It's one of the oldest lighthouses found in Massachusetts.
The Annisquam light made an appearance in the Meg Ryan film The Women (2008), supposedly doubling for a lighthouse located on the coast of Maine.

Tenia moltes ganes de fer una VL amb una focal més tele, quan vaig canviar d'objectiu ja era tard, però retallant vaig aconseguir més o menys el que buscava i no em desagrada el resultat
I a tu, t'agrada amb la VL més present?

Pictured here is my latest portrait of our Labrador Jax... We sometimes refer to him as the Sergeant... His daily routine is making sure everyone else is following their daily routines. He's truly a creature of habit, and hates when things deviate from the norm. ;)

I kinda like this Redfields Fractalius plugin for photoshop. You can really make some abstract piece of art.

Here's the shot of spectacular Dubrovnik in Croatia, one of the most famous tourist destinations in the Adriatic Sea and the entire coastal area of the Mediterranean Sea.
Dubrovnik is an incredibly popular UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most photographed and filmed cities anywhere, featured in numerous movies and TV series, among them, extensively in the Game of Thrones (King's Landing). Dubrovnik was also used to film a few scenes in the upcoming Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, due for release in December 2017.
I took this panorama from the serpentine road leading to the city in July last year. It was unusually cold and windy that night. I was shooting at 105mm focal length, so vibrations caused by the wind became a real problem. To stabilize the tripod, I used the weight of my camera backpack and fixed it to the ballast hook of my FEISOL travel tripod. This worked great and the tripod was rock steady.
As usually, I was shooting a super high resolution panorama, stacked from 6 vertically oriented shots, each combined from 6 bracketed exposures. A total of 36 photos were needed for this blue hour panorama. Total resolution of this image exceeds 15,000 pixels horizontally.
I used Canon 5DsR and Canon 24-105mm f/4L lens with Feisol travel tripod, Really Right Stuff BH-40 and their excellent TA-U-LB leveling base.
Image was processed with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom with Google Nik Collection set of plugins.

Thanks to hollykl for these originals:
This is locally know as the Pirates tower. I ran into a family that live near by and they recited a story about how the home owner that lived in the home at the the top of the tower used to dress up like a pirate and walk the streets and pubs telling people that he has hidden coins in the boards of the spiral staircase that leads to the top, for the kids in the area to find if they explored it well enough. The kids in the area spent a lot of time in that tower. :)

Photoshop CS3
Photomatix Pro 3.1
FDRTools 2.2
Location Old Spice Island viewing the Camber from the Car Park
This picture was shot handheld with three exposures (-2..0..+2EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. I increased the blue and overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Shadow/Highlights and Curve adjustments were also used, to bring out the detail and increase the overall contrast.
The moon was visible but very distant. A separate shot of the moon was blended into the sky at 85%. The overall photo was processed through Topaz Adjust plugin to enhance the grains in the petrified trees. The petrified trees were then cloned into the HDR version leaving the sky and the snow-covered mountain intact. Click here for another photo using the same technique and moon: www.flickr.com/photos/35614822@N08/3474365728/
the los angeles department of water and power (LADWP) power plant no. 1 continues to generate hydroelectric energy along the LA aqueduct, nearly 100 years after it went online in 1917 as los angeles' first source of municipal power. this century-old westinghouse turbine (one of five at the plant) is still in use to generate electricity.

Here on the South Plains of West Texas there are many of these old abandoned farm houses in varying states of decay. They happen to be one of my favorite subjects to shoot under the night sky and I've spent a lot of time tracking them down. Unfortunately, as flat as it is around here, lights on the horizon can been seen forever away. In most cases I prefer a cloudless night and a sky full of stars, but in this case, I think the wispy clouds add to the eeriness of the scene.
Shot with my Fuji X-H1 and Samyang 12mm f/2.0. (5) 15 second shots + (2) dark frames @ f/2.0, ISO 3200, 3800K WB. One LED panel used for LLL. Stacked in Sequator with final edits in Photoshop using a few Topaz plugins. (Shot April 9, 2019; finally catching up with editing.)
