Iowa State University has planted several pollinator plots across the state. The idea is to have flowering plants as early in the spring and late in the fall as possible. There are two plots near Elkhart Iowa. Looking at the image for NRCS's Pollinator plot you can see some difference in the plant mix but the same end result Taken 9/19/18

This is the first season of me working my own allotment, i had wroked a small patch of my dads a couple of seasons back but became despondent due to his constant nit picking. Anyhoo, i have harvested quite a lot so far but never had my camera handy until yesterday. So far i have pulled all my spinach, 6 white cabbages, a mountain of strawberries, a few onions, broccoli, then yesterday i picked a load of peas, a few lil tommytomoes & 5 colliflowers.
This is proper food that tastes fantastic & has had absolutely no contact with any chemicals what so ever & it free - just a little effort for a massive reward.

This is my whole garden plot. The top-left corner is the apple tree, and the bottom-right corner is the square-foot box.
A chip plot of the very first ARM CPU which sprang in to life on 26th April 1985. It was implemented in 3um CMOS using 24,800 transistors, ran at 6MHz and consumed 120mW.
To celebrate posting my 100th picture I thought I would do something a bit different.
After being stabbed by the carrot the avacado followed suit. The bananas last words were " et tu fruite" (because as everyone knows, avacado is fruit). The avacodo was the traitor who brought to fruition the culmination of the vegetable plot to defrock the banana. The knife went though like a dose of prunes, but he didn't give fig. Now he would ascend to the top of the bowl and press down on the apples until the pips squeaked. He would call upon marrows compartriot, the sqaush to assist him in this task. There was a worry that the plot has become known, a leek was suspected and they had to act quickly. But now that fruit fool had got his just desserts.
A Tribute to Amanda & Kyle ~
Franklin's Flying Circus !
Aside from their in-flight antics, the couple shares a rich history that would make an exceptional movie plot. Kyle’s father Jimmy and Amanda’s father Bobby died when the planes they were each flying stuck each other in a mid-air collision while performing at an airshow in 2005. Their love rose from the ashes of the plane wreckage and their abilities as an airshow act are a testament to the on going legacy of a family fated to continue dancing on wings of airplanes.

Wild horse grazing exclusion plots on the NSW/VIC border help assess the nature and extent of impacts of wild horse populations on native vegetation and streams within the sub alpine environment.
Horses are not native to Australia so the environment did not evolve with their impacts, yet Australia now has the largest wild, or feral, horse population in the world.

Head sculpt for my newest puppet, the 'Plot Device Fairy.' Eva thinks she looks like the 'Octo-Mom.'
This is just the clay sculpt for the mold; the finished puppet won't be dark green. She'll likely be pale-skinned with all black eyes and spiky orange hair.
The tallest waterfall in the Plotter Kill Preserve at 60'. Not the optimum flow level, but worth the trip. The summer was so dry, no water was flowing here at all, and even now when it rains water levels unpredictable. But a great day for hiking... and cloudy, which saturates the fall colors. CP used.

Lahore, October 14, 2017: Today, Bali Memorial Trust inaugurated a new unit and solar energy system in its Technical and Secondary School located in Ladheke Bhullar village in Lahore. Established through a grant awarded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the new unit has three science laboratories and a computer laboratory powered by a renewable energy system. U.S. Consul General in Lahore, Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau led the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
While speaking at the event, the U.S. Consul General commented: “Over 500 children, the majority of them girls, attend this school and will benefit from this project. We are proud to work in partnership with the Bali Memorial Technical and Secondary School to extend our celebration of the Day of the Girl Child here today.”
In 1998, Bali Memorial Trust, a Lahore-based charity, established a Technical and Secondary School in Ladheke Bhullar on a plot of land donated by the local community. Today the Trust is providing education and technical training to the resident population.
Since its inception in 2010, USAID’s Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program has supported 343 projects throughout the country, valued at US$36 million and benefiting more than two million people. With support from this fund, assistance to the Bali Memorial Technical and Secondary School has significantly upgraded the school’s infrastructure with new solar panels; 25 computers for the computer laboratory; equipment for the three science laboratories, and technical training workshops.
