I was sitting on the patio, reading a new book, when Benni Girl appeared before me, toy in mouth. Time to stop reading and to throw this thing which bounces in strange ways and causes her to jump and pounce. Fun for all!!

Bart often plops down at my feet and playfully paws at my ankles. I often bend down to give him pats or I reach for the wand toy and play with him.

Daily Dog Challenge: Gray
Guinness is very big and grey :)
This image reminds of an old film by Jacques Tati titled "Playtime", a parody about the (then) modern times. I recall little about the film, what I have present in my memory is all people laughing at some funny scene and I thinking they were laughing at themselves. Jacques Tati had that ability :-)

It's now just a 10-15 mins drive to get to the coast at Alnmouth, Boulmer or Howick. So we made a quick trip to Howick on Saturday evening as the weather was warm (Northumberland warm, that is!) and unusually still.
We'd been walking for about 20mins and were near the Bathing House at Howick when I caught a movement out to sea. This heralded 20 mins of watching a pod of bottlenose dolphins (at least 10 or 12 I'd say), swim up and down with occasional breaching. They were a little way off the shore but once or twice strayed a bit nearer, so this is a fairly major crop (I'll have to dust off my old Canon EOS400 and 70-300 lens!).
Irrespective of the (lack of) quality of the shots, it was a wonderful experience, our first since being up here, and followed hard on the heels of Wednesday's adder spot!
This week 11 Oct.→ 18 Oct. our theme is:
